Extremely versatile!

I'm very pleased with my Roku 2; for some reason I missed "Breaking Bad," "Orange is the New Black," and others, and watching them is a real pleasure. I also have ordered several movies and documentaries I would otherwise have no access to. Great product!

This works pretty well. I wish I had gotten the Roku 3 to have the advantages of auto play of next episode on Netflix.

I heard from a couple of people the benefits of Roku, but didn't really understand it until I had tried Roku for myself. I was tired of paying a HUGE cable bill and figured Roku was the best way to get everything that I expected out of TV and much MORE.

Does the basics

The Roku does everything I need it to do. However, the layout of some of the apps is not ideal. Netflix for instance is difficult to navigate. I have a long list of movies and they are not easy to scroll through. It is also not possible to browse by genre. Overall, the Roku 2 functions as it's supposed to. However, the user experience is still lacking. I have heard the Roku 3 and the Roku stick have been updated, but I cannot speak to that. I will likely be getting an Apple TV to replace the Roku 2.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
