Great Alternative to Cable

I bought this to save money on my cable bill and I am. I only have internet now. I am concerned about how the Roku gets very warm even if we are not using it. I would like to see a power off/on on the Roku to save energy instead of having to leave it plugged in all the time. It is not always convenient to unplug the Roku based on the location of the plugs, tv, etc. Overall I am extremely satisfied. I wish that you listed all the channels that are available instead of having to find codes on the internet. I have the Roku 2 and love having the earphone jack on the remote!

Very happy with this as a Netflix device

We used to use my son's Playstation to watch Netflix but when he went off to college the Playstation went with him. We bought the Roku strictly to watch Netflix. It is a very nice, small device that does Netflix well.
I have also enjoyed watching music videos on Vevo.
The best thing about it is the headphone jack built into the remote that mutes the actual tv. I can watch tv and listen through headphones when others go to bed and they can't hear anything.
One thing it is missing is that it does not allow for different family members to select their Netflix "Who's watching" profile that we get when watching Netflix on the Wii (and I think on the Playstation). Everyone is lumped together.
Also, the Youtube app needs some serious changes to be able to actually search and use it effectively. Difficult to use and navigate.

Apps for everything you could ever need, very quick and responsive, and love that I can control it from my phone! I've also used the Amazon Fire TV and the Roku is cheaper and better!

I absolutely love my Roku 2! I am anything but handy; however, I was able to easily install my Roku 2 and have it up and working without a problem. This has been one of the best purchases I've ever made.

Bought it about 2 months ago. I don't have cable or satellite so this is my main source of tv programming. I was pleasantly surprised with the ease of installation & the wide variety of channels (which keeps increasing). Very happy with my purchase.

Love that the navigation is easy to use. My only complaint is that there's no search engine on the channel store. Would be so much easier than looking for the channels. I would like to see more channels on Roku 2. I'm very interested in gaming and would like to see more of a variety. I do like the small size and headphones feature, keep up the great work.
