More features -More glitches than my original Roku

Bought the Roku 2 because of the additional features (Amazon cloud music streaming). I still use my original Roku HD it has been a dependable unit. The new Roku 2 works most of the time. I have had a bit of trouble with it dropping the wireless signal. It also locks up. I determined this is a problem with the remote and is solved by removing and reinstalling the batteries. Both problems are only occasional, but still irritating.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Wow! These units are small easy to use, easy to set up and will provide you with hours of entertainment. Both free and pay channels. BTW we are buying 2 more units as Christmas presents!!!

There is no on off switch so you have to plug and un plug it. It overheats after an hour. It freezes alot

Roku 2 Upgrade—don't do it!

We upgraded our older Roku system to Roku 2 a few weeks ago, and have had nothing but trouble ever since. Every single time we turn on the TV, we must go through a half hour of restarting the modem, restarting the router, then restarting the Roku (and "updating the connection")—complete with passwords, etc. Ludicrous. We never had to go through this with the older model. Since we don't have an HD TV, we're stuck with this. Might just return to the old model—no problems with that, except it's missing some of the newly-touted features that don't even matter in light of all the hassle.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
