Easy to sey up and use

Bought this six months ago when my old one died. It's so tiny! But still does what I need. I use it to watch Netflix and Amazon Instant Video on my television. I am terrible with technology, but had it set up and ready to go easily. The feature I like best is plugging the headphones into the remote, I can watch late at night and no one else can hear. This is also helpful when a show has a faint soundtrack - you get so much clearer sound using the headphones. I have read that there are many uses for the Roku, but I don't know how to use them. Wish more inclusive instructions came with the unit.

I purchased this machine over 6 month's ago and use it every evening to watch my fav's. I bought this to see if this would replace watching cable tv shows and I cut the cord shortly thereafter and have not looked back!!!

Bought the roku 2 about a month ago .Love the variety of channels they have added , but mostly watch netflix! This device is fast and easy to operate . No complaints:)

My children bought this for me at Christmas to enjoy movies. I can access movies via their Netflix/Amazon accts at no charge to me. Love it! as I am on a limited retired budget.

Adequate for the Job

The product basically works as advertised. About the only warning I would give is that it does not tolerate unstable Internet connections very well. The only problem is that my Internet service provider is also my phone and cable TV provider. Therefore the modem/router must handle LAN, Wi-Fi, and phone duties. This tends to make it a bit unstable at times and the Roku would drop the Internet signal. I compensated for this by plugging an old router into the modem router provided by my service provider. This seemed to clear up the problem.

Almost Super-Great

I've had my Roku 2 for 7 months now, using it with Amazon, Netflix, Pandora, and occasionally other channels. The Amazon interface is pretty good. Search indexes content in a variety of ways. Netflix I'm less pleased with. Search by title only and you can only use the primary account profile. My big complaint is that the screen flickers randomly when in 1080p mode. It bugs me that I can't use the full resolution of my 40" Insignia TV, but 720p is such a massive improvement over our 25 year old fuzzy CRT that I can look past this flaw without too much effort.
