replacement for older roku

Purchased after my old roku gave up after several years of constant use. The new remote is not as user friendly in layout however the older remote worked with it so it wasn't a big deal.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent device

I use this for Amazon Prime videos, Netflix, and Pandora. The device was very simple to set up, and I was connected to my home WiFi in minutes. My young daughter can operate the device with ease. I recommend this streaming video device without hesitation.

Continually disconnects from the internet

I got my roku about half a year ago or so, maybe longer. It's a good device... when it works. but if my tv is turned off for longer than 8 hours, the device automatically disconnects from the internet. the UI is laggy, and it doesn't always work as seemingly intended.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this about 3 months ago and couldn't be happier. I got rid of my satellite and only watch TV through Roku. The only draw back is I can't get local channels over the air or through ROKU but I didn't watch much network TV anyways.

Love having movies & TV shows available to watch when I want to watch. Excellent choices & very easy to use. Any time I am bored, can pull up a movie & I am in heaven!!

The ROKU device s all that it is expected to be. While I used it, I found that it was so sleek and lightweight that I could double-coat tape it to the bottom frame of my flat screen and it was almost invisible. The freebies offered with it however are free "contingent" that you subscribe to one of their many viewer subscription options. Although the cost of the ROKU, it's ease of use, set up and all were as expected, i put it away and went to a low priced package for internet TV over the canned movies and previously aired serials.
