I purchased my Roku 2 three months ago and I'm extremely happy for the most part, the only drawback has been the old version of Netflix Roku 2 has. Needs a upgrade bad! My phone has better viewing.

I've had the 2 about a month and can find nothing negative to say about it. It works smoothly and is plenty fast enough for me.

The selling feature of the Roku 2 was that it allowed the use of earphones through the remote. However, the set of earphones that came with it have very poor sound quality...tinny, no base, etc. The second feature touted was more buttons on the remote allowing quicker access. I never use the MGo, Amazon or Blockbuster buttons because I don't want to purchase their stuff. Netflix, I already have. Thirdly, using the old Roku with Netflix allowed me to search actors, directors, genera of movie, words in the title, etc. With the new Roku, I can't do that. I have to go out of Netflix, into the Roku menu, scroll down, select "search", and then go through a whole variety of menu options just to find what I'm looking for. It's a hassle. Fourth, the Roku 2 doesn't seem to hold the signal as well as the old Roku did. It resets itself, hangs up, freezes much more. Other than these things, I like it just fine.

I have Amazon prime so there are lots of free movies, also the Yahoo is a ;lot of fun and the Smithsonian short clips and the Animal planet short clips.

Easy to set up. Easy to use. Haven't watch cable tv since installing my roku. Why pay outrageous cable tv rates and waste your time watching mindless commercials when you can have a roku.

Purchased this on recommendation from my daughter. Did a bit of research on the various models and the Roku 2 met the requirements and has performed for the last half year exceptionally well. If I could get it ... I'd prefer the same model BUT with the addition of an OFF Swtich. Not necessary but I'd prefer to have the ability to turn it off when I'm not using it. Other than that ... no complaints. If it had the off switch I'd give it that final fifth star.
