I brought this a couple of months ago, it's alright. It gets hot, freezes up at times and it has to be restarted.

I really enjoy my Roku --the programming and variety keeps getting better. However the actual equipment concerns me because it gets really hot. I unplug it when not using it and then I often forget to plug it back in. I wish I could leave it plugged in but I am afraid of it catching fire - yes it gets that hot. I HATE the remote control. It is very awkward and not intuitive at all. It takes forever to put in your passwords and account names. It is also so small that it gets lost very easily. Would be nice to be able to use one remote for TV, Roku and Astound.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to use and fun to watch

This thing is awesome. I like how I can pause or fast forward and rewind. Adding channels is easy and there are so many free channels to watch. Well worth the money. Oh and the headphone option is nice. YOu can even walk around to get a drink and still hear the tv....if you don't go too far.

We had the previous model Roku and loved it. We find the Roku 2 to be a more advanced product and it covers all our viewing needs and more. It is easy to use and we find it to be very reliable.

Don't laugh ,but I always thought you had to have a game system or a smart tv to get your Netflix or hbo go . I was wrong this device allows you to get this and more . I love it!
