This Is A Lemon Fail

This was bought like 7 years ago and I'm so disappointed. It wouldn't lock or unlock so I should be thinking I'm not buying this.

Do not buy GE products

This washer was 13 months old and the repair guy told me I needed to replace it because it would cost more to fix it. I also bought the matching GFDN240ELWW dryer which was serviced when it was 11 months old, with a major repair. Luckily I had the warranties for these. I also own a GE dishwasher which has had to be serviced twice already in 3 years. I own other brand name major appliances, and have had no problem with these.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had it for 6 months, and it does a fine job of cleaning the clothes, even on COLD. It takes so much water out of the clothes that drying time has been cut down considerably. Using less detergent, too. Wish it had a light in it, though. No leaks so far. However, it has lots of useless buttons that we will never use,and buttons that duplicate what other buttons do. So, if you like buttons, this has got plenty! Takes up more room than our old washer. And since it's so tall with the drawer under it, we lost the use of the top of the machine for setting our laundry basket on it. Oh, well.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This machine is so quiet, I cannot hear it running unless I am right next to it.........even when it is doing it's high speed spin! Get's my clothes cleaner, too.
