best budget phone ever

I picked up this phone at ATT as a second phone as my Sprint phone has such poor data speeds. I have always been a Nokia fan, but I was amazed at how much better than android WP8 is even on budget hardware.
I have noticed no lags, screen is very sensitive and the right size for me. Call quality and reception is the standard Nokia excellent. The case is very sturdy and doesn't feel cheap or creaky. Although no Gorilla glass it is scratch resistant.
Overall a great phone, while not a top of line phone it works exactly as promised.

Great phone for the money

Call quality is great, the speaker for music and everything is really loud. The camera is decent and has good camera features. Really wish there was a front face or a flash, but for a budget phone I guess u can't expect too much, the data speeds are 4G (HSPA+) still pretty fast, wish it had LTE tho. The app selection on the windows store is still growing but it does have all the apps I use mainly so I'm good with it. It charges fast and has good battery life, Nokia has out did it self. I hope that Microsoft keeps making budget go phones like this for the future, since Microsoft bought nokias phone business. It's a great way to win customers from android and ios. Because the phone is affordable. Thanks Nokia and thank u Microsoft.

An Excellent Phone

Like most other people in the world, in the past ten years or so, in time sequence, I have used a Motorola flip phone, two Nokia candy bars, a Blackberry with a scrolling wheel, a Blackberry with a finger sensor, an HTC, an iPhone 3S, a Samsung S II, and this Nokia 520. What I want to tell everyone is, this one is by far the best cell phone I have ever used.
What I like the most is its speed to run apps. It is significantly faster and seems to be more stable. The buttons on the phone: the back button, the search button, the camera button, give me direct access to different functions. This makes it easier to navigate through so many functions on a phone by using only one button. For some reason I also feel it is easier to type on this phone than the other "smart phones".
Another amazing thing is the long battery life. This makes a big differene with the other phones I used previously. I couldn't believe on the first day I used this phone when I saw the battery was still nearly half full at the end of the day.
The only downside is the limitation of apps that one can download from the Store. There are tons of stuff to download, but some apps that I used to use frequently from Apple and Android stores are still not available. I can only hope more people will develop Windows apps and tomorrow will be better.

I had the Lumia 820 and I like but the battery life was bad and felt heavy but the Lumia 520 is great all around it crazy a phone with a small battery last twice as long than the 820 feel great in the hand not cheap feeling at all one of the best phone I have every used great phone

My first smartphone, but more reliable than my android tablet. I sure do hope Nokia/Microsoft will provide consistent updates for this one (including Windows Phone 8.1) because I'm tired of android devices that do not receive more than an update. I am supposed to use this at least for 2 years ...
I like the way windows phone has integrated applications, the simplicity of the interface (although here is room for improvement .. more customization)

Absolutely love this phone almost better than my android that i traded for it . I love the fact that it has kids corner makes it easy to put games for my granddaughter to play and its easy for her to use .

Ok im a guy who likes technology.. Phones especially and before i had my Nokia 520 windows phone i had a galaxy s4.. And a galaxy note 3.. S4 was a great phone but pricey the note 3 the same.. And i no a million ppl with iPhones.. I didn't no anybody that had a windows phone so it was a great price and i thought i would try it out... I fell in love with this phone..it is very simple but it does so much! Way more than i thought it would.. The batt life on it is great.. Most apps work but the windows app market is growing everyday.. Kids corner is awesome for my kids.. Now eventually i will be getting another phone..but not for a while..and when i do im gonna get another newer windows phone.. But this phone will be around for a while with me and im happy with that!
