Great Range

I recently purchased this GE Range. It is no frills, but heats and cooks wonderfully.
I love the fact that it has no electronic (computer) oven, nor is it convection to dry out food. It is a fantastic product for anyone with a little arthritis in their fingers.
Sometimes, returning to basics is a great thing!!! I would highly recommend this range.

Basic Cooking Pleasure

I purchased this stove because I was looking for a basic, no frills cooking appliance that had the buttons in the front. Most gas stoves have them in the front where it is easy to reach and not stretching over the burners but most electric stoves do not. When I found this one I was quite delighted. I love having the knobs in the front of the stove. The burners heat quickly and lowering the temperature for warming works very well. I love the size of the oven and the drawer underneath to keep my frying pans in. This is a no frills stove, just a great cooking appliance that looks great in our country kitchen. I am very satisfied with the look of the stove and also satisfied with the price paid for it. I would recommend this stove for anyone that isn't looking for digital features.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy to keep clean, efficient, well insulated, extra storage. It is amazing how fast an egg boils. My kitchen is cooler with this new addition.

The range cooks well but I hate those coil burners

I bought this range month ago, I thought I was paying for a stove that had no coil burners, There is no clock on it, I plan to get rid of it by December and get what I really want. I like the dials being in the front. It cooks food wonderfully. To find out it is discontinued is even more reason for me to get rid of,.

temps are accurate, but the craftsman is poor

Performance is great , craftsmanship of housing appears very unfinished, open seams at all corners of door and drawer where metal is simply bent over. Not very appealing, almost returned the range for this reason.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just what I needed, but. . .

The range was installed yesterday by a pair of courteous and careful delivery men.
Unfortunately, I already have a warranty repair scheduled.
The "oven heating" light is mis-wired so that the light remains on continuously and does not cycle on and off with the heating element.
On a separate (design) issue, I was disappointed that the (blank) backsplash had to be a part of the range. I use ADA front panel controls. The backsplash is wasted metal with no clock or controls.
From a marketing perspective, this model would sell like hot-cakes if it was a glass top with self-clean in approximately the same price range.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Simple, straightforward electric range with dials that old folks with arthritis can use. Self cleans in people move out leaving it greasy. A bit more expensive than the cheapest, GE, but made better.
