Mechanically it works very well, but needs two improvements. 1.)The drawer pull on the bottom drawer is of poor design. There is very little indentation underneath the pull making it too shallow to hook you fingers into to pull outthe drawer. A person has almost no grip using it. It is impossible for a person with damp or "oily" hands to get a grasp to pull the drawer open. I'm surprised this design got past product testing. 2.) The addition of an open door activated oven light switch would be a great enhancement. Other than that it is a great stove.

WAY BETTER THEN THE OLD GE

Our GE oven was made in the 1990s. It was absolutely the number 1 energy sucker in the apartment. This new oven heats up within 5 minutes and it doesn't melt anything I place on top of it. Score!

We built an addition for my mom who is 80. She wanted just a basic stove with nothing digital and not self cleaning. We searched everywhere and finally found this stove. She has not moved in so the stove hasn't been used yet. Appearance is fine, although not stainless steel the color matches the other stainless steel appliances. The only thing she won't like is the rubber seal that goes around the oven door. It doesn't seem to be as heavy duty as other stoves.

I brought this stove for my elderly mother and aunt, it is just right for them. They like to stick to the basics, they did not want any new featured appliance. Thank you GE for maintain simple appliance for the elderly.

My stove is ruining my food and health by cutting

This is a nightmare why put the stove in charge of my ability to prepare food!? So while I’m frying ANYTHING the temperature will just shut down now my food isn’t frying but just soaking up oil!! It’s VERY unhealthy Can this feature be overridden? It’s HORRIBLE!!
