I've had my new stove for a couple of months, I love it! It is everything I expected & more. The 2 ovens are great, although the smaller top oven is the most used, it doesn't heat up the kitchen & is just handy.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best set of features for the money

I really like the double oven (I had one similar before purchasing this one). I have a friend who bought this same model a couple years ago that had an extension rack, but mine didn't come with one... disappointed that was downgraded. Cooks well. Have only two issues. The minor/more aesthetic one is that the two burners on the left side aren't lined up with each other. It's not just that they're off a little as some manufacturing variation... they were designed this way. (Look at picture 4 of 14 on the JB870SFSS page on GE's site - you can see the two burners have lines connecting them but the burners aren't parallel to the side of the cooktop.) The 2nd issue is bigger and more functionally related... The triple burner on the right front corner has all three burners controlled by a single knob, which means you only have about 1/3rd of the rotation available for each burner size. This makes it very difficult to adjust the burner - especially at the low settings. When using the largest burner setting, I have to turn it down below the "Low" mark to keep it from burning foods.

Used both ovens right out the gate

Bought this stove the week before Thanksgiving. Right away the wife and I used both ovens at the same time preparing the Thanksgiving meal last year. Loved it. Mainly, just use the upper oven for regular meal cooking or baking which it is perfectly sized for.
The burners on the stove top put out more Watts than our last stove did which allows me to cook items indoors as an option I did not have before. Last week we hosted a crab boil that I usually do outside on a propane burner (our last stove could not get a decent boil going on anything over 2 gallons) and I started the first parts of the boil on the new stove top which worked so well I just kept it on there for the whole time. Really impressed.
The burners on the stove top put out more Watts than our last stove did which allows me to cook items indoors as an option I did not have before. Great Features Except the White Cook Top Surface

Love the double oven feature. There are only 2 of us so this is the most used and it' is great. Upper and lower cook very evenly. The only thing is that there is a popping noise every 3-5 min like the metal is expanding not sure why. Second, I do have a complaint on the white cook top, you do have to use the ceramic bright to and pad to clean after each use. For what ever reason it gets so dirty that a wash cloth will not clean it at all. All pans are clean and free of grease or anything on the bottoms so not sure why this happens but since day one it remains the same. So needless to say I would go back to the black with white specks which is not hard to keep clean. Other then that it is a great stove.
