I have wanted this double oven range for a long time.....finally last Christmas I received it as a gift from my husband. Since there only two of us I especially like having the smaller oven. My 1st electric range--I love the way it cooks and the oven browns. Couldn't be happier with the sleek look it has and I can always keep it clean-looking!

Great features and looks

We bought the stainless steel JB870SF1SS electric range double oven last week and love it. So far I have just used the cook top and the small conventional upper oven. My advice is to read the instructions first to get a feel for use and maintenance and see all the features available, more than I realized. The control knobs are intuitively placed and easy to see High - Low. The cook top heats up quickly - do not put wet pans on burners or wiggle pans back and forth, use lids and clean up will be easy. I use soft sponge with warm water and dish soap once top has cooled down, then go over with a microfiber cloth.

So far I have used the upper conventional oven to bake pizza and quiche and they came out evenly cooked and browned, faster cooking than my old oven. The Pre-heat is a bit longer than I expected - about 12' to 15' - Caution - when removing item from lower rack be sure to use oven mitts or you could easily burn your hand on the oven door as the lower rack is at same height. Haven't used other features yet - so far I am extremely happy with this GE model. As to looks - it is sturdy and yet sleek and reminds me in some ways of the old ranges of the 50's. Be sure to shop around as we found numerous price differences and ended up buying from a small local store on a one day sale.

Fantastic stove!

So many features! I love the smoothtop, bridge, and warming area. But the best feature is the double oven. It's great to be able to cook small items in the upper oven and not have to heat up a large oven for a few small items, and being able to cook a turkey in the large oven while cooking side dishes and dessert at a different temperature in the upper over is fantastic.

LOVE THIS OVEN!

I've only had this oven for 4 days, but so far I'm really loving it! I had a GE flat top in our last house and I know how well they work and how easy they are to clean. I wanted another GE for our new house, so we found this one. I've always wanted a double oven and this is hands down the best kitchen purchase we've made! The control panel features are a breeze to use and the power boil is awesome! Cooking and baking are going to go so much faster with the power boil and convection oven. I know from the GE range I had in the past that the cooktop will not scratch easily and cleans up in a flash! I look forward to cooking with this range every day!!

panel light and 2nd timer

I really like this range...just wish it had 2 timers. 1 for each oven and or element. Previous double oven I had, had that feature. also control panel needs a light switch to be able to see the pad. Other then that I love the double oven and I'm getting use to the smooth top. I don't have a choice in having gas and I just had to have he double oven.

Love My Stove

This was an impulse buy just before holiday baking time. I love being able to have three sheets of cookies in at a time and the stove top is great! The white does show all kinds of messes worse that the dark one I had before but it makes me clean it much more often.

This range looks awesome in my kitchen. I have used the top oven and I love it. Its great to just heat up a small area instead of a big oven....it heats up faster too. There are so many burner options on top. I love the idea of a warming burner to keep the gravy warm!!! I'm a country gal but I enjoy the feeling of having the best!!
