Easy to Use & True Colors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Behr Paint is easy to apply, easy clean up and the colors are true to the sample. We have painted our entire home with Behr paint and wouldn't consider another companies paint. We have been pleased with the easy application, easy clean up and it's durability in a busy household.

One and done painting!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve made the mistake before of buying the least expensive paint I could find at bargain stores and having to spend 2-3 times what I thought would, because I needed 2-3 coats just to get full coverage. It was such a nice change to only have to apply one coat and be done! I ended up saving money because I needed less paint. With kids and dog, its durability has been tested and has passed with flying colors. This is now my go-to paint!

Behr Premium Plus is the ONLY Paint!

seriously one of the worst paints I have ever used

I have used Behr paints many times in the past: I pleasantly found their oil based enamels to be every bit as good as SW or BM paints, yet much more affordable. Skip to NOW: my daughter purchased this paint to do the trim in a single bedroom. I had specifically told her to get an oil base for the durable hard finish and the ability to sand between coats. But No, she got this stuff. First, it is THICK - like somewhere between Titebond III glue and well stirred sheetrock mud. Keep in mind I am using high quality NEW Wooster brushes. This stuff goes on so thick yet totally fails to cover - it has the 'hide' ability of watered-down primer. It skins instantly, and the brush strokes will NOT lay down. The first coat looks like you used a stiff toothbrush and dries looking like a drone shot of a plowed field. It is totally unsandable and still has a 'tack' and feels 'soft' two weeks later ( first coat ) . The second coat fails to hide the thins in the first coat so, even though this is a blue that is so dark it looks black unless in direct sunshine, it is going to take at least 3 coats to cover white primed trim that has been sanded and tack-ragged before painting. It is also a uni-direction paint: you must paint in a single direction without attempts to level out the strokes or brush marks - if you brush with any backstroke, it pulls the already laid paint back onto the brush: the paint has a greater affinity to itself than hold ability to the trim or the dried undercoats. You also have to use it in small amounts to keep it from skinning and roping - it is also impossible to pour without making an enormous mess: I am using a small clear plastic cup and using a plastic spoon to dip out small amounts of paint that can be applied within a few minutes - even a container the size of a regular soup can is too large to prevent roping and tacking of the paint. This stuff is just simply horrid.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Anything thicker than that is not normal, and if stirring doesn't resolve the consistency, we do not recommend using the paint to ensure you don't run into any other issues.

Way better than I expected

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am sensitive so I always go with zero or very low VOC paint and primer. Love this paint and I've been a die hard user of another brand for years. So glad I tried this! Little to no smell. Easy on with brushes and roller, and love the easy clean up. I used it over Kilz and the off white semi gloss is beautiful making these old dark camper cabinets look fresh.

Amazing Paint

We are in the process of painting the inside now and my husband is amazed at how easy the paint goes on and covers everything smoothly. Our previous paint job inside was over 15 years ago and Behr was also used for that job and it still looks amazing. We just wanted to a lighter color for now.
