Improved product!

The Epson PictureMate Show Digital Frame / Compact Photo Printer - PM 300 is a nice improvement over the original PictureMate that I have used and liked for over 5 years. The 7" screen makes it much easier to view and edit images, printing only the ones you choose. I save a lot of time scanning through my images - I used to have to load them into iPhoto first so I could see the images on a larger screen before making edits. Cropping is much easier and faster too. The remote control is handy, however, I do wish there was a manual override feature. An option to manually edit the contrast and brightness of photos would be of benefit as there was with the older PictureMate printers. The automatic enhance feature generally does a good job, but occasionally there is a photo that needs greater correction, and one must go into another program such as iPhoto or Photoshop Elements to edit and print from those programs. It would also be handy to be able to purchase the print cartridge separately from the paper. Overall, though, this printer is an improvement and a great product. I am able to print out a hundred beautiful 4x6 snapshots in a minimum amount of time.

Just pulled it out of the box, and it does not print the last 1 inch or so of the photo. The printer drive stops and multiple passes of the printer head cause the paper to move, picture to blur and damages the last 1/2 inch of paper. Called product support, trouble shot. Sending unit back to Epson Store and replacing with same unit. Previously had a PM280 with no problems until it said internal part has reached time limit. Not sure what that is but decided just to buy a new PM300. I am sure the next one will be just fine.

Picturemate 300

I opened the box place everything on the table and followed the quick start instructions. Very easy to follow. After I assembled the printer and loaded the photo paper I inserted my memory card It loaded right up I started printing it came out looking great. Then I went into the setup and played with the options. For the price its what I was looking for it worked better than I though it would. Buy it you will be impressed.

This printer is great. Has a lot of cool features, the picture quality is great too.
The only downside is the slow speed it prints at. I use it for events and it's just super slow, but if times not of the essence then it's great. Also note that while printing from a computer, there is no preview of the pictures on the screen so this awesome screen serves no purpose for my use.
The program it comes with is cool, allowing you to place names and much more on the pictures before printing.
All in all it's great for home use.

Disappointed!

The PM300 wasn't able to crop and edit or print two different pictures in the wallet layout. This is the reason I purchased it to do scrapbooking. Excellent print quality if you only want to use the 4x6 prints. Hard to use a lot of the other functions. Don't like the remote.

The Epson PictureMate Show is really reliable, on the go and a light weight printer. I love this product, reasoning why is because the quality of the prints are crisp, clean and fast. When on location with a client whether its a bride, family or child the client is impressed that the Epson PictureMate Show prints so fast and beautiful! The gratification of each client being so happy when they receive their print is definitely worth purchasing The Epson PicutureMate Show. Not to mention the price of the product is so reasonable, for the quality and convenience of this printer you can't beat it! As a professional photographer, I highly recommend getting The Epson PictureMate Show printer, I can guarantee you won't be disappointed!

It made nice prints fresh out of the box. Then the printer wasn't used for 3 months.
I just tried to print something and only yellow ink came out, in streaks. I opened two brand new paper/ink packs to see if a fresh ink cartridge was the problem. Still nothing. I did a nozzle cleaning, then a deep nozzle cleaning, Just streaky
I'm throwing it away.
Too bad. It made nice photos when it worked.

I like that I can put the memory stick in and print without needing to install it on my computer. Everything is so compact, and I can carry it with me and print: Except for the output tray. Why wasn't it designed so that it would slip into a slot somewhere? That's why I gave a four-star rating.
