Love the slate color.

I wanted something different so I took a chance on the slate and I love it! In fact I bought all 4 appliances last year and wanted to take them with me when we sold the house, but the new owners wanted them too. So we sold them with the house and I bought them all over again for the new house. Beautiful look and fabulous function!

Unsightly gray spot on front right side burner

I have had this range for about one year. I live alone and do not do a lot of cooking and this burner is seldom used. I have only used the recommended type of cook wear and have use only mild dish soap and CERAMA BRYTE cook top cleaner and cleaning pads recommended by GE on the cook top surface. The instruction manual recommended pure white vinegar which I tried on the spot but it did not remove it. I had a black glass cook top like this one on the range I replaced for this one and the top looked like new after 16 years of service made by another manufacturer. I purchased a GE microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher at the same time to complete the remodeling done in my kitchen. I am extremely upset about the lack of durability of this cook top and question the quality of the other appliances I purchased. How are they going to stand up to the limited use they will receive in my home over time? I regreat not purchasing appliances made by the manufacturer of my previous appliances. The pleasure of having a remodeled kitchen and new appliances has been greatly dimished by the appearance of this cook top in such a short period of time and I am concerned it will only get worse over time.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love everything about this range except...........

This is a great range. Cooks and bakes great. The only reason I gave it 3 stars is because of cleaning the cooktop. It is very difficult to clean. I am using all of the correct products but I just am still not happy with how it looks when I am done.
