I have been researching electric ranges for several months. I finally decided on model #JB690SF1SS for several reasons. First, the appliance salesman pointed out that this range has a hidden lower element. That is really cool and keeps the floor of the oven clean. He also pointed out that this range is used in the Bake Off every year...that tells you something about the consistency of its oven temps. The finish is very nice in stainless steel. I was also impressed that this range is assembled in the USA (Lafayette, GA). That is a plus for American jobs. Finally, I chose this model based on quality. Other brands just feel "cheap". Look at other others' knobs...now feel the GE knobs. There is a difference.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have had this stove about 2 months and love it. it is my 1st smooth top range. It takes a bit more work to keep the top shiny and new looking and being more careful as to not scratching it. I have had compliments on the overall looks of the product. Thanks G.E. for a great product.

I have been using this for over a month now and still love it. The color is wonderful and has a very nice clean and modern look. The cooktop is easy to maintain and keep looking new. The oven settings are easy to use and adjust to from convection to regular baking. I would recommend this line to anyone wanting a new look and a quality product.
