I won't mention any names....but was talked into another brand three years ago when I moved. After only three years, the electronic control went out. Since the repair was going to cost $450.00 and the part was not available, I decided to go back to my GE range and am so happy I did.

I like the stove but I hate the top. The black shows every fingerprint and every piece of dust. Can't keep it clean.

We purchased this stove 2 months ago, and it has been a good investment to date. Easy to use, and it bakes/cooks well. My only quibble is that it takes some effort to keep the glass cook top clean. A little elbow grease is necessary to keep it looking good.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Oven with an "OK" Cooktop

I bought this stove after a good amount of research. The aesthetics are good, I recently remodeled my kitchen and the unit looks great. It has standard features I would expect and the interface is really easy to use. This unit really does well when baking and using the oven. The convection works very nicely. I put a frozen pizza in, using bake or convection it comes out evenly cooked. The same with casserole dishes. My previous stove was the standard electric with the cooktop elements exposed, which made this a nice upgrade because I no longer have to deal with food falling into the elements and burning or into the drip pans and making a mess. That being said, I am a little disappointed in the element response time. Still very slow for electric stove tops. When you are done cooking, it still takes a long time for it to cool down. If you have had electric stove tops before then you are used to moving your food off of it because even if you come down from 8 to 2 or low, your food will continue to cook on the 8 setting for another 4 or 5 minutes. My biggest complaint is boiling water takes too long in my opinion. I would have easily preferred a gas appliance, however there is not a gas line in my neighborhood. I remember when looking at units prior to buying this one that there were some with a rapid boil feature. That my be worth looking into. Overall I am satisfied, now I hope it lasts a good long time.
