iPad saver and maybe a job saver!

I just had to say great product! I bought this case because of the protection I felt it gave me for my iPhone. Because it had saved my iPhone from the occasional drop. But I never thought it would be needed for more than the occasional drop. Boy was I wrong. The iPad was provided by work and in today's world where companies count every dollar, $600 could get you in serious trouble. Especially for carelessness. After using it for an safety audit I was leaving the job site and placed iPad on passenger side of hood of company jeep. The next thing I knew while accelerating to 60mph on expressway I heard a rattle on my hood and as I looked the iPad became airborne and rolled and flipped over and across the back of the jeep. I watched it from the rear view mirror as it tumbled down the expressway. I had to go 5 miles to loop back around hoping and praying it would be still there. It would be better to turn in a damaged iPad then to say I lost it. But to my surprise and delight as I walked up to it. I saw the screen on and was undamaged, I thanked God for answering my prayer. Now I am thanking otter box for a good product. Thanks Otter Box. It may not protect against all mishaps but It sure protected my iPad against at least 55mph tumble and crash. I would rather be found with it, then be with out it. Defender is a must have. I tried to contact company through email on their website but had to settle for this review.

Very good case overall

Although this case was a little challenging to get on the iPad, once it was on, it was good to go. The overall design of the case is very nice as every nook and cranny has been accounted for and the case seems durable. The outer shell has a nice design which includes 2 different angles to prop up the iPad.
My only complaint is the screen cover has a bit of an "oil slick" look to it if you have it at an angle. It's not extremely noticeable, but certainly can be seen.
Luckily I haven't dropped it yet, so I can't vouch for it's durability, but it is nice to travel with as I don't have to worry about it being damaged if I put it in a bag!
Pros: High quality, Durable, great design
Cons: screen cover isn't perfectly clear at all angels

Always use Otterbox

I have Otterbox cases for all of my phones and iPads and love them. The only thing I wish the iPad Air defender case offered was the sleep mode when putting the shell over the screen like the previous models did for the iPads.
Pros: High quality, Durable, fits well

Good, but not great

Screen protector stinks. A lot of watermark effects. In addition, it dulls the retina display a tiny bit.
I just punched out the protector and installed Zagg HD and then use the otterbox case around it.
The problem with doing above is the additional cost over an already expensive case!
Pros: Durable, great protection
Cons: bad screen protector

That should be your slogan! I've had Apple products for a long time, and they've always been protected by Otterbox. I wouldn't go any other direction or trust any other brand to keep my products safe and in the same condition they were in as the day I got them. Keep on doing what you're doing! Maybe add some more color options though :)

The shield stand broke from normal wear and tear. Otterbox replaced quickly. Great customer service. Will buy future cases for my devices from them!

Good case but good grief the hard cover is a nightmare to take off. I wish they had a snap on case made out the hard plastic like they do for the phone. I broke quite a few nails trying to take this off
