I've been using Otterboxes on my iPhones for a while now and have never broken a phone yet - and they have dropped on concrete. The rubber was really stiff but I got everything put together. The one I had on my full size was not this stiff, but it was a full size iPad and this one is smaller... Fits in my purse which is the main reason I got the mini!

It is a bit bulky considering the actual size and shape of the ipad mini, but to get the protection necessary the bulk at this time maybe necessary.
I wish it came in more colors, as when I set it down, I want to be able to spot it across the room. I don't take it on road trips so I am not concerned about other people see it and stealing it.
I wish the stand was attached to the unit, but it does make it much more bulky, on the other hand I am always walking away from the stand and have to go back for it.
Pros: Durable, has protected from dropping
Cons: bulky, not enough color choices

I am a big fan of Otter Box products and feel that Otter Box made some major improvements from its last version of the Apple Defender iPad Mini 2. Yet one area that needs to be improved on the Apple Defender iPad Mini 3 Stand is the corner edges since they are not properly grabbing the iPad Mini when placed on its side, thus the iPad Mini falls out of the stand.

Cons: ineffective corner grabbers on the stand.

My friends down the street all have these cases and they have dropped them before... ALOT... So yes these are definitely great I don't have one for my iPad mini yet.... But I'm getting one so that's great because my case is cracking really bad so yes if you are deciding to get these cases you should DEFINITELY.
