[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the Advantium for only a couple of months and frankly I was somewhat intimidated by the Speedcook function at first...I simply used it as a microwave for a while. Then I tried to speedcook chicken quarters and it worked quite well. So far I've made hamburgers, a meatloaf, fresh fish and chicken and all the results were acceptable. I haven't gotten very adventurous with the Speedcook yet. I will say that, for certain dense foods like meatloaf, you don't save as much time using it as you might expect (vs. a conventional oven# but you also don't heat up the kitchen, a definite plus in hot weather. If it doesn't "misbehave" shortly after the warranty runs out, my satisfaction level will increase; I'm a bit concerned right now #without any statistics to back it up, I should add# that it's a complicated product that might break down earlier than a conventional microwave would and that it would be expensive to repair. It is so much more than a microwave that we consider it an upgrade to our kitchen since we don't have a double oven.

I love this product!

We were looking to replace our over the oven microwave and the store we went to had the Advantium oven (scratch and dent) for a VERY good price. I couldn't be happier with it. I have used nearly all the functions and every one has exceeded my expectations. The controls are not really inuitive and it is kind of a pain to just look to time the microwave, but overall it is a wonderful oven. I use it to bake frequently to keep from heating up the whole kitchen and it is wonderful for this. I would recommend this highly.

Broken handle -

I have the GE Profile Advantium microwave that is just three years old. Today, the handle came off. It does not get heavy use as it is only used by my husband and myself. It appears this has been a known issue for
over a decade. The handle connection to the door is made of cheap plastic. This is a very expensive microwave and it has such a poor design that could and should have been easily remedied by better engineering and materials.

Best appliance ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned Advantium cooking appliances for nearly 10 years. My first was a 220V model. After that I was hooked. Unfortunately due to power restrictions in my newly renovated kitchen I could only do the 120V model, but I still think it's the best product invention since the toaster (which I no longer use thanks to my Advantium#. A friend of mine just put one in her new kitchen. At first she was intimidated by it and wanted me to come giver her a tutorial. Instead, through just four text messages, I was able to guide her on how to cook her first filet minon steaks in it. She sent a note back and said this appliance likely saved her marriage #not being serious, of course, but praising it's ability). I use mine daily and wouldn't know what to do without it.

Love the oven/microwave feature

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The advantium works like an oven or microwave- perfect when you need two ovens. I do a lot of baking and this works well for cookies and casseroles. It bakes well- I have made cookies, baked chicken and casseroles with no problems and used to melt chocolate quickly.
I thought I wanted a double oven until I saw this product. It is convenient to install above the range and that makes it convenient to use.

Very Useful Multi-purpose Oven

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Embrace the technology of this oven, and you will come to love it as we do. It's amazing how many of our friends and family don't have a clue as to the capabilities of the Advantium. Of course, we use the uwave like everybody, but I also bake bread using the convection feature and casseroles using all three heating sources. My only regret is that we didn't get the 240v version, so we would have even more combinations of heating and cooking.
