This is my 3rd windows phone and I absolutely love it! The camera is great, but it isn't my selling feature. The operating system is great and works very fast and efficiently. Keep it up Microsoft!

I've had the phone replaced three times in a year. My screen freezes and never recovers. The sad part is i love everything about my phone. Everything!! Cortana is the best! The camera and camera apps are top notch. But eventually I'm going to run out of factory warranty. Then what?? I know other people with the 1020 and they do not have any issues. I can't be the only one.

Saves room in my purse

First off, I only had a very basic cell phone before I got the Lumia 1020. My laptop has Windows 8.1 so I knew I wanted something similar when I finally got a smartphone. Right off, I can now carry a much smaller purse because the Lumia 1020 replaces a camera, calculator, phone, notepad and if I can figure which app to get, a tape measure. I do custom sewing and a customer recently came by and showed me pictures on her iPhone and could not see the details I needed to see. I showed her my phone with similar pictures, details on a collar, and she was very surprised. My nephew, who convinced me to get a smartphone, told me that it would become indispensable and was he ever right. I really, really like all of the unique features with the camera apps. My niece, and I agree wholeheartedly, that the pictures are freaking clear and awesome. I have had no problems using the Windows app as I was used to it from my laptop.

What sets this phone apart from the others is of course, the camera. A lot is said about what a phone camera should be, but Nokia took it beyond that and gave us a camera that has so much power and potential that it becomes the only device you'd possibly need to create stunning images. Form factor, OS, connectivity and ease of use are all there. It turns heads, in a good way. In a world where iPhone is king and Android is prince, not a lot of people can make out just what it is when you pull out a 1020 out of your pocket. When asked, I always begin by telling them "it's an amazing camera, with a wonderful phone attached to it. It always hits them by surprise when I start showing them what the camera can do. This is mostly because no other phone maker out there has dedicated themselves to creating a device that is camera-centric from the very beginning. As a whole, the 1020 offers a great interface and a complex one for when you are ready to get there. Nothing feels forced, ever. It offers easy access to all your media and it gives you all the apps you need to share your pictures. If you're in the market for a device that gives you a top-of-the-line camera with an intuitive OS that works for you, then the Lumia 1020 is the phone for you.

Killing the competition!

I started using windows phones when they first came out and prefer them over any others. I was forced to use an iPhone 4 for three months, the first one completely messed up all my contacts with a faulty hard drive and the second one worked fine, but I just completely hated the lack of adjustments and the way Apple runs there business. For glitching, even the second iPhone I had glitched more than any of my windows phone have while the droids glitch constantly. The Lumia 1020 is definitely the best windows phone I know of with incredible features, like the camera of course that can see better than I can with my glasses...haha
Windows and Nokia are definitely a great team and I would gladly watch them take the market over Apple and Droids any day. There downfall is that they were years behind the others when they started and people don't tend to try new things when it comes to electronics.

Finally a smartphone that can take pictures I can print without saying ,"I wish I had my DSLR!".

Finally a smartphone that can take pictures I can print without saying ," I wish I had my DSLR!". If you use your smartphone mostly for Facebook , Twitter and to take pictures then this is the phone for you period. For the first time since cameras have been part of smartphones I feel good that the photos I take of my kids and family casually on a daily basis are actually great looking...nothing is worse than a poor quality photo to remember a once in a lifetime event. The optional camera grip for the Lumia 1020 is also a smart buy because of the added battery , larger shutter button and TRIPOD MOUNT! Seriously Nokia, you did it! I love my Nokia Lumia 1020 :)
