Still the best phone on the market

Even though the Lumia 1020 is more than a year old there is still no other smart phone on the market today that can match its capabilities. The 41 megapixel camera is my primary attraction because the photographs taken with this camera have so much hidden detail. While taking pictures on Galveston Bay recently, I was able to zoom in on jumping dolphins and a hawk that I originally did not know were there. What looks like a straight line horizon can be zoomed in to show buildings, ships, oil rigs that are otherwise invisible. Family reunion group photos can be used to generate portraits of each person.
I am also a fan of the Windows 8.1 OS. Passwords and favorites are automatically shared with my tablet and desktop computers (if enabled by the user of course) for a really satisfying user experience. Movies and music that I purchase on my XBOX One can be played on my phone and visa versa.
Live tiles and the new live folders in update 1 provide a dashboard like experience where a tremendous amount of information can be seen at once on the home page.
I work in a technical environment with a cross-section of smart phone users and the iPhone/Android users that I have shown the phone to have a genuine case of Lumia 1020 envy and several are now owners of the Lumia 1020.

My first quality smart phone ever... and it's pretty amazing !

This phone can do it all !
With the only downside, for many, being that Windows Phones aren't that App heavy, I personally don't mind it all. Also it's got a fixed memory of about 32GB which may also be a drawback for some.

The phone is efficient when going from app to app, and multi-tasking.
The camera is incredible and the pictures taken come out very detailed.
The battery life is very good. Just like with any phone, if you have a lot of your features turned on and if you tend browse the internet frequently, don't expect the juice to last the entire day. It can last you the entire day with over half of a battery left if used well.
As it is with most of the times people change phones... it takes just a tad bit of time (and also work) to adjust to the new device. The Windows 8 interface is so easy to not only get used to, but also it's very simple to navigate through; it took me almost no time at all to integrate my emails and various social network accounts into the phone. The colors and text stand out very well on the screen.
This phone's got the stuff *two thumbs up* ;D !

My Microsoft Nokia Lumia 1020 has proven to me, time and time again, no other Smartphone on the market can rival it! Its awesome 41-Pixel Camera, its beautiful graphics, terrific sound, Cortana, Windows Phone 8.1 Operating System, etc. Do I need to mention more? Definitely, the Leader in Smartphones!

After struggling with Android for 4 years I have come to love windows 8.1. I am a retired professional photographer and will vouch for this camera phone. I have used this phone for a couple of months and love.

V.Good Device but needs more updates like split screen to open 2 apps in the same time, more alive notification center , widgets would be so helpful

V.Good Device specially after the Cyan Update but needs more updates like split screen to open 2 apps in the same time in both of screen orientations (portrait & landscape), notifications have to be more live, widgets would be so helpful, Denim Update has to be ready for this device... Specially That Microsoft has released Windows 10/threshold.. So I'm expecting more serious updates in the recent windows phones OS ..

I have several different phones (mostly Windows). Some of the phones are even newer than the 1020. However, at certain times, I carry the 1020 because I feel it delivers the best pictures.
