Can't believe Microsoft got rid of Here Drive and Here Maps.

I upgraded to the Nokia 1020 from a 920 for the camera improvement. I had no idea Microsoft has gotten rid of Here Drive and Here Maps. Excellent offline map usage was the absolute best feature of Nokia phones. Maps has replaced Here Maps, but what about Here Drive? Tried a couple of 3rd party apps which required internet to use. Can't believe there is no manufacturer provided voice nav! Why would you take features away from your phones???!!!! I previously would have rated this phone as 5 star, but you took away one of its two best features (offline maps/nav and camera).

The best smartphone

I bought it 2 years ago and it works as new. The battery could be better but it works fine, specially with the external extra battery. The best camera in the market. I love it and I am waiting a new model with improvements. My version has 64GB of memory.

Apple and Samsung Watch Out!!

After owning iPhones (3G, 4, and 5) , and the Samsung Galaxy S4, I was tired of the same minor updates that really are insulting to customers. The cameras are good but minor updates, oh and we got 1 more row of apps on the iPhone 5, WOW! (SARC). The Nokia Lumia 1020 I bought blows iPhones and Galaxy phones out of the water! The camera obviously is an EPIC WIN, but WP8 OS is fluid, and doesn't lag or freeze up. The app store is growing exponentially, and it is revolutionary! It literally is the best smartphone on the market! I love how the updates for WP* are released to ALL users, and not some users on certain networks, with certain phone models at a time. I own a Mac computer and the Lumia works perfectly with the Mac! I plug it in the usb port, and iPhoto/Aperture (I use both), pop right up when I connect the phone for fast transfer. I also use the Nokia photo transfer app to save copies to a 1020 folder on my Mac. This is a phenomenal phone, and I used it to take over 1,000+ pictures using Pro Cam at the Portland Wizard World Comic Con, and they came out looking very stunning! The battery life works well too, but I did have to take about 30 mins during lunch to charge up so I could keep taking pictures since I was there all day (10 hours). A lot of people at the convention were blown away by the impressive picture and video quality, even one of the Marvel Comic artists who was there was so impressed he said he was gong to get the 1020! Thanks for the awesome phone, awesome OS, and making it so much better than the Galaxy and iPhone. Apple and Samsung I hope you're reading this!

This phone is really cool

This is my first smartphone, but I have to say it's a pretty awesome phone. The camera takes very bright, crisp photos, and it has great battery. I also love how customizable it is.

Easy to use. Love the pictures that I can take with my 41 megapixel camera. ALL my friends are surprised with the quality of pictures I am able to capture during anytime of the day. I travel outside the country and this phone camera takes better pictures than my regular camera. I have

My phone before 1020 was iphone5s. Big difference between the two. Own three iPhones before but when I compare the iPhone looks so simple and dull. The iPhone seems like just a app holder. iOS does have a lot more apps which gives it a huge advantage but the app that windows have are useful. The camera on the 1020 is superb along with the camera app. The screen is beautiful colorful. I dropped my 1020 in a hot tub 8months ago. After 20min my phone went haywire and died. I put the phone in a bag of rice for three days and it started back up and worked fine, no problems since. Hope Nokia makes the next 1020 same size as the 1520. The wireless adapter for the 1020 is too much and hard to find. Should have been built in.
