The 1020 does everything I need it to do. I know the app store is still growing daily, I'll give up a couple of apps not being there just to have the Windows phone. I also like the 1020 because it's not fruity or clickish. Just because you don't have the fruity phone doesn't mean that you're any different than everyone else.

I've owned my Lumia 1020 for over a year, and I still love it just as much as the first day I got it. The camera is still top notch, I still get all of the software updates (LOVE WP 8.1, well played Microsoft#, and the battery life still lasts all day.
The screen has aged well, which isn't bad for a 720p screen; colors are sharp, viewing angles are wide, and it's incredibly clear outside in the sun #which I'm thankful for, since I live in the American Southwest#.
I cannot wait for an update to newer chips and technologies with the 1030 #or whatever they decide to call it), because it will only make a phone that is already perfect stand the test of time even more so.
I love Windows Phone. I love my 1020.

I had the 900 Cyan and loved it. I upgraded to the 1020 after 2 years and love everything about except the shorter battery life. I did not increase apps or anything to cause this and it's the only downside

Love this phone, especially since updating to WP 8.1 with the smaller tiles and the addition of Cortana.

Still love it after a year

A year in the smartphone world is eternity, but even after a year with this phone I love it. Camera is incredible and allows me to be creative with settings to get some cool shots. Live tiles are a fresh and useful approach to giving me info. Love Cortana and the new notification center in 8.1. Insanely durable without a hideous case. Seamlessly works with my car Bluetooth audio. Photo and settings sync/backup. It's all there and then some.

Smooth, sexy and a heck of a camera

I was hesitant when the shift from Symbian to Win Phone happened but I am sold. I was always a fan of the Nokia product and when the shift occurred I stayed with them. An early adopter, I got the Lumia 900. Ultimately that was replaced by the 1020. I love the interface. It's much smoother than other OSes and the camera on this is incredible. The Open Space Agency uses them to image the heavens, enough said.
