Glichy Apps

This is the worst phone I have ever owned. Spare yourself the headache. The phone doesn't have as many settings options as other phones, the battery life isn't good and if it turns off it takes forever to charge and turn back on. The phone itself wouldn't be so bad if the Windows Apps weren't all so glichy. I have not found one single app comparable to Android or Iphone apps that works correctly. There are many to choose from, but after trying several facebook, navigation, and pinterest apps, every one has failed on me. The windows operating system needs a lot of improvement before it can even compare to android or iphone phones.

It's a windows phone, so it should be rated with black holes instead of stars.

I used to really like Nokia phones. I think the E70 was my favourite and Symbian was a great phone OS for its time. If you are buying a phone in my opinion you want a minimal operating system that makes your device function as a great phone (like Symbian) or you want a smartphone with an operating system that let's you do it all like Android. The Nokia Lumia comes with a 5th rate smartphone operating system (behind Android, iOS, Blackberry OS, and any Linux phone OS) . The only marketable feature is the 41MP camera for those people that think megapixels = photo quality. I hardly ever take photos with my phone (I have an actual camera for that) The lens is alright, but really doesn't deserve all those pixels. If this is why you are thinking of buying this camera, you'd be better off waiting for Nikon to one day put a sim card in a DSLR body, and buying a decent Android phone instead.

This product does have a good camera but you CANNOT print from the phone what so ever and if your into social media or browsing the web DO NOT put your self through the trouble, web pages do not download, most sited you can't even use, Apps are terrible, even with WiFi the apps are slow and bootleg. So upset with this phone, hyped it up way to much for it to be this big of a problem. Worst purchase of my Life!

DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!!!!! The screen breaks easily!
on November 3, 2013

The screen on this phone is a total garbage. I had the phone less than two weeks, dropped it, and the screen shattered. I called AT&T and they told me it was not covered under warranty if the screen broke. Luckily we had insurance, so I called to make a claim. There was a $200 deductible. So I had now paid $350 for the phone. I got my replacement quickly and immediately put it in a case. I even ordered a new case because I didn't think the new one be would sturdy enough. I was right. Two days after getting my second phone, I dropped it trying to get the phone out of the case. It shattered worse than the first one. The first time, the phone landed on the corner, the second time it landed flat on the screen. My husband has had is Nokia 980 for two years, dropped it millions of times, and it has yet to even scratch. I had my old Samsung for two years, dropped it millions of times, it still looks new. This piece of garbage breaks the first time you drop it. AT&T now wants me to pay another $200 to replace the phone. I WILL NOT be getting another Nokia. This is bull! I am so completely and utterly disgusted in this product. I have NEVER in my 14 years of owning cell phones had a problem like this. If you're on the market for a nice camera, get a nice camera and a phone that can handle a drop from a couple feet with no issue. The camera is NOT worth the price of this phone. I am now into this phone $550 and have nothing to show for it but a shattered screen on a piece of garbage phone. I wish I could give this product negative stars, since I think even one is being overly generous.

Sorry but 41 megapixels isn't everything. Funny watching all the sheep rant and rave over this. Megapixels play a role but the sensor and optics are more important and the 1020 just doesn't cut it. Trying to zoom in for macro photo is horrid, not to mention blurry and the colors are washed out. Shooting in full sun, forget it. PIctures were overexposed, the contrast was insanely poor.
The battery life is practically non-existant, I was lucky to get 4 hours with it. Call quality could definitely be better. Was difficult to hear the other party.
Sorry Nokia, you have your work cut out for you. I'd rather carry my big DSLR than this phone any day.

Hate this phone!

I switched from the iPhone 5 to the nokia lumia 1020 because i wanted the good camera! The camera is great except In a lot of pictures with my husband one of my eyes will have red eye and one of his will and when you chose the fix red eye option it says none detected. I have brown eyes and they have a hint of red in them too. When I take my picture with the flash on it will auto correct the red eye and turn my whole eye black. I can't change it or fix it so my picture is ruined. I can't take pictures of myself with it because I get so mad that they don't turn out. When I put the phone on speaker no one can hear me and the apps are awful. The only good thing about the phone is it does take good pictures (of people who don't have my eye color) and it has kids corner.

iPhone to Windows - Seems easy NOT!

At work I have Windows and I use Microsoft Office. I loved the Camera in this phone and thought if an iPhone works and syncs well with Microsoft stuff then a Microsoft phone should be awesome.
I was wrong. I had to load Windows Live and it would not sync with Outlook correctly. I think because of sub folders in Outlook. Once I opened mail on my phone it would go away. There was a sync program on my desktop but it only took care of music and the Windows live seems to try to do everything else.
Trading in today for iPhone. I know it can handle my work stuff.
What a bummer. This is probably a better phone for people using web based mail rather that Outlook. The fun camera stuff is not worth the hassle.

Good phone, horrible screen

I have had this phone for bout 6 months now. I absolutely love the camera but the screen is so easily broken. I dropped it from about a foot off the ground and it shattered the screen. It has happened three times now. It is not a cheap phone to replace. I would not recommend this phone unless you spend the money to get a huge duty case for it.
