This phone /camera, is the best of both devices

I had been a Blackberry diehard for 7yrs. This phone is extremely to easy to adjust from the basic Blackberry"way of thinking" It could use some "fine-tuning" I"m sure I will learn the"what the not to do's" along the way. The camera is a breeze to use & has suburb picture quality, I do recommend the Nokia Pro Cam tile for the best results - Play with it, it's a Microsoft Windows Product- never better.

I switched to the Nokia 1020 after having an Iphone for the last 3 years. I couldn't be happier with it. Just how many apps do I really need anyways? And, this phone has all the ones I want. Cortana is super and I love being able to search, call and text using my voice. And, don't get me started on how fantastic this camera is...color is superb. Love it.

Change my iphone 5 for my first windows phone love the phone and os, battery life is great but could be better overall the phone is excellent.

Great phone not great screens

This phone is packed with great features the camera is outstanding. The only complaint I have is the screen I have never broken a screen and been carring a phone since 1991 (mobile brick) I have had this phone for about 8 Months and broken the screen twice even though I had a cover on it. Ordered an Outerbox last night hope to keep this phone for a while. Waiting for Windows 10.

Great Camera If Only the Productivity features from the Symbian Era were not lost

Traditionally Nokia Phones always worked well in the work environment, where Microsoft productivity tools are used around the world. Nokia Phones always had capability to synchronize with MS Outlook through Nokia PC Suite.
I have always found Nokia phones were miles ahead on hardware front, so the prospect of Nokia collaborating with Microsoft to give us Lumia was a lipsmaking prospect.
I'm enthusiast photographer and Nokia phones have never disappointed in the past, may it be N70, N73, N95, 808 Pureview each phone's camera was way better than the competition.
Here is my review of the Lumia 1020
a) Hardware, Camera - Excellent. 5 stars
b) Business Productivity use, and ease of use with Windows based Personal Computer - Tedious ( way too complicated) - 1/2 stars since it can do things, albeit in a complicated manner, when compared to the Symbian ways.

Smart Camera

I am a 20 year old business student and this is my first smart phone. I have had this phone for over two months now and have had few complaints. I am an avid Microsoft Windows user and love that this phone is easy to use and compatible with every other device I have. The best feature about this phone is the awesome camera. I'm no photographer, but I love having great quality pictures of all of my memories. This is pretty much my smart camera that can make calls and connect to the internet. The live tiles look nice and are fun as well.
The app store gets a lot of complaints for being so small, but there is an app for anything you would need and the store is continuously growing. I have no Android experience and little IOS experience, but this is hands down my favorite. Nokia also has a lot of nice apps that enjoy quite a bit. The battery life isn't extraordinary, but it usually lasts me through the day and I am always on it quite a bit. There are a lot of settings that you can disable to prolong the battery life. It would also be nice for it to have a removable battery. The phone is a little bigger than most making it kind of awkward looking, but it holds nicely, just doesn't fit in my pants pocket very well.
Overall this is a great phone and I would recommend it to anyone who wants something different than an Iphone. I am excited that Nokia is making a comeback in the cellphone industry and bravo to them for differentiating themselves with such an excellent camera!

Colorful and Fun

I bought the Nokia 1020 for the kitschy yellow color and for the camera. I am really enjoying it. The camera is great as the online reviews stated. This is my first real smart phone with Internet access, and it is nice to be able to Google or look up things for sale anytime. I also like the Drive maps feature, so I don't get lost in unfamiliar areas.
