Cannot recommend this product due to the burner layout.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this range but did not keep due to the layout of the burners. What we saw in the store did not match what was delivered to us (not the store's fault - they had a different model and we assumed the layout was the same). With the current layout you can't put two large pots next to the each other on the front burners. They are too close together. Very poor design. GE makes a great product but this design was definitely not good.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

GREAT OVEN

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a high quality gas range. The oven cooks everthing evenly and quickly. It has great features. I am a baker and it makes the food cook perfectly. I love this oven.
If I had any cons it would be that the burner plate is very heavy. I am a senior and it is a little difficult to lift the plate to clean because it is cast iron.
It is a good looking oven. I would not trade this oven for another.

Great Looking Range

this is a very good looking range. It has nice features, and works well. Had an issue with a cooling fan for the controls. It would get pretty load after it heated up. Call GE and they had it replaced within a week. It still makes a noise but nothing like the first fan. Great service, great product.

Smart stove burners configuration!

Bought this about 6 months ago and use it heavily. The four different sized burners are great for cooking multiple items at different intensities. The largest is great for boiling large pots of water quickly for corn or pasta, or for a water bath canning. The second largest is great for my pressure canner and for everyday cooking. The knobs are located on an angled front panel, and sometimes I lean against the fixture (it's in a peninsula) and accidentally turn on the gas with my backside. The grates on top lift off to make surface cleaning easy, and are great for sliding things around the top without having to lift them, but be cautious that you don't catch your sleeve on the grate prong. I caught mine and dropped a hot fry pan which scratched up the control panel. In all, I am very happy with this stove...it gives me a luxury gas stove experience without requiring a ton of space or cash. There is an oven feature in which a probe can be inserted and set to control the internal temp of a roast. I could go on and on about this.. it is a terrific feature!
