The first time I used my Kitchenaid, I had to put my ear near the surface of the door to make sure it was running! Quiet and efficient describes my beautiful new dishwasher!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned and used this dishwasher for just under a year. It does a great job cleaning the dishes. Dirty pops and pans are no problem. We are a household of just two adults, so only need to run it once a week or so. Still, it cleans plates, etc no matter how long they've sat in there. For the price and because it was Kitchen Aid, I did expect it to be quieter. It is fairly quiet, but was promised near silent operation and that is not the case. (Maybe due to the installation?). My only real regret was not purchasing a version with the hidden controls. The buttons on this model are heat sensitive and I am CONSTANTLY turning on the machine by just brushing up against the controls as I am walking by or reaching into the cabinet above. It is very annoying.
Pros: easy to use, Performance
Cons: controls are easily activated just by walking by

Not only did it wash and dry in a manner not had before in any of our previous dishwashers but we could not tell by the sound if it was on or not. We have had friends ask about it and we give it a great rating.

quiet; which is a plus when you have bedrooms right next to the kitchen. only complaint is with the silverware basket; it has odd shaped holes and slots and we couldn't get the sliding part to stay in place. my husbands solution was to put ties on 3 of the sections and leave the forth open for larger items.

This Dishwasher is absolutely, without a doubt the best thing I have bought ever! That's all I am going to say other than the fact that we just sold our house several months after putting in this dishwasher and it seems to be the only thing that my wife misses about our previous home. I WILL BUY ANOTHER ONE FOR OUR NEW HOME!
