[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have had it for a few months now .....use it every day - sometimes twice ......front buttons are very sensitive - but the lockout feature is a must etc .....cleans very well and is QUIET - a feature that my old Maytag was not good at .....no problems so far

Quiet but lacks previous quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second KitchenAid dishwasher and find that this one is missing key features and lacks the quality.
Pros (same as previous dishwasher):
* quiet
* large capacity
* adjustable top rack height
* extra fold-down shelves for smaller items or stemware
* door stays open to where you leave it (on this dishwasher)

* ProWash leaves dishes dirty and oily (previous dishwasher had no ProWash)
* no countdown timer
* no hidden controls
* silverware basket covers are flimsy and useless (love the slots for separating silverware and holes for chopsticks, but poor execution)
* no utility basket for spatulas, etc. as with previous dishwasher
* light item clips are flimsy and useless

1. Upon closing the door of the dishwasher and gently passing by it, it goes into a "dry cycle" all on it's own. As a result, we have to keep the door slightly ajar when it's not in the cleaning mode.
2. The utensil holder is very poorly designed! The covers into which one is to put the utensils goes "catewampus" and constantly need adjusting. Glad that I kept the utensil holder from my previous dishwasher #which was not a kitchenaid#.

what I don't.like is that thelastic cutlery supports never stay put. They appear not to fit properly, and thus they always fall in.
The other thing that I am not happy with is the quality of the cleaning on the t rack. When you use the double shelves( for small cups), thetop row are always dirty!
