Great diswasher, but poor design of control buttons

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very quiet, very good job of cleaning everything including pots and pans, and excellent features. The only problem is the location of the very sensitive control buttons. The controls are located on the top FRONT face of the machine and a strong wind will turn on must of the controls. I constantly turn on the machine when I lean on or over the counter, brush against it while working in the kitchen or even when I stack food shopping bags on the counter. The controls should be either recessed or on the top edge of the door. Many times the machine goes on and it's so quiet you do not realize that it is on until you notice the lights. We now leave the door ajar just to prevent this. If you have small children or a large dog, it will drive you crazy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have found that the touch controls are super sensitive and have had the dishwasher turn on, turn off mid cycle by someone merely brushing against the unit while for instance, washing their hands at the adjacent sink. I have tried using the control lock feature but either it doesn't stay on for extended time (next day) or it also is deactivated by mere brushing against the unit. Because of this problem, I have had times where I thought the cycle was completed only to find dirty dishes and soap remaining in the unit. Sometimes when the cycle was completed and the dishes not yet emptied, I have come into my kitchen to find the cycle starting again and the washer filled with water. This has been such a nuisance that I had an electrician install a shut off switch for the dishwaqsher's electricity access inside the adjacent cabinet.
Cons: controls too sensitive
