Great Product

Great product, crisp and bright picture. It's like having a 120 inch HDTV!!! I have it mounted on my ceiling about 17 feet away and the picture maximizes at about 135 inches. Can be seen during the day as well and even with the lights turned on at night, but in total darkness, it's like being in a movie theater. The unit is quit and can run for hours on end. Has an excellent picture when using HD signal and especially Blueray. Great service dept. They sent me a new unit when I thought is was starting to not work properly only to find out that is was my screen that was defective, not the projector, but they did send me a refurbished model as a replacement though, and promptly. I kept my projector and sent the replacement back trouble free.

Does Everything I Wanted it to do

This has been a great unit for our purposes. Our configuration positions the projector approx. 17 feet from the 120" screen. The picture is sharp border to border and the unit is quiet and easy to use. My son plans to buy this model in the near future. Don't know what else I could ask for. Like any other projection system, ambient light is not its friend.

Best in 2D Class

This is the best in class of 2D projectors. The day scenes are awesome and comparable to the LED based Samsung high class TVs. The night scenes are a bit sloppy. The black is not pure black but its not grey either like the LCD TVs rather the dark scenes are a little cloudy. There are not many color patterns to choose from but Cinema & Dynamic modes works for most of the movies. The projector can be placed within the line of sight of the screen can't place out of the scope. Love the idea of lens tilt/shift rather than adjusting through touchstone settings. The projector is also silent too as compared with other brands and the price of the light bulb is also cheap and very much affordable.

Very easy to set up and use. The calculator on there website made it easy to determine where to put the projector and screen. The picture is awesome. Glad I chose Epson for my home theater needs.

Good Value

I've used the projector for over a year. The value is good for my purposes - projecting old movie cds and powerpoint practice. I've even used it to play xbox games in conjunction with the kinect sensor which works out very well. Since the resolution of these sources is relatively low, VGA to 720p, I have no complaints. I have not been able to utilize a 1080p source, so no comment. The projector automatically recognizes and adjusts to resolutions even as low as my old playstation game console (passed through an AV receiver) so the projector is a fine addition if you need multiple resolutions below 1080p.

8350

This is a great projector. picture is great except day time in a room with lots of windows. Went 4 stars instead of 5 because if you use it all the time ,more than a couple hours at once, the light bulb life will be severley diminished. I didnt even get a quarter of what the manual said I should, because I used it for more than 3 hours at a time on a regular basis. Otherwise I followed the manuals instructions. Bulbs are not cheap! My movie screen is 10 feet wide so projector has to sit back 18 feet but picture quality is still good, using a 50 foot chipped HDMI cable from my receiver. very quiet too, like its not there.

The picture quality of the PowerLite Home Cinema 8350 is excellent. I don't think you can beat the picture for the money. Life is still to be determined as I have only had it for 1-month.

I cannot believe I waited this long to build my very own home theater system. The Epson 8350 is one fantastic projector and the Epson support is second to none. I am almost ashamed to admit that I am already in the process of selling this remarkable machine just so that I can turn around and buy my next Epson projector, the Epson 5030UB! I CANNOT WAIT for this beauty!
