Perfect Karaoke Machine

It no work!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I pulled it out of the box my three year old daughter was so excited. I plugged it in and fired it up but the sound kept cutting in and out. I did find that if you flick the volume knob just right it will work for a while. My daughter was unimpressed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello Kitty CD +G Karaoke with Screen

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Hello Kitty CD+G Karaoke delivers what is needed to have a great time with a few limitations. The pros, various controls allow you to fine-tune the audio. These include microphone volume, echo effect, and Music output volume. Included is the microphone with an on and off switch that feels well built. I feel that it would be very durable for the life of the product. The microphone cord feels substantial and is less likely to kink with use due to the heavy cable that is used. The storage for the microphone is on one side of the device, and there is a plastic mount for an iPod or phone on the other side. There is a place on top to put a tablet so that it can be oriented at an angle that you could see words or what music is playing. The Cons: It is a larger karaoke machine due to the CRT screen which accommodates the CD +G disc. I find that this is more of an old format and wish it had Bluetooth capability instead. While the side mounts for the microphone and the Phone/Ipod holders are nice, I can envision a time where they are broken off due to their position low on the case. There are RCA connections in the back, but a cable was not provided. There is also two microphone inputs if you have more than one singer, but only one microphone is included. Devices are connected to the karaoke by 3.5mm audio cable which is provided.
The Hello Kitty Karaoke machine would be a great product for a younger user to use independently, It was very easy for my five-year-old to operate on her own. It will be a great product to have for our next family get together as well for adults too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] You can use CD-G so it includes lyrics on the screen or you can use your phone. Volume control could be a little louder. Overall, it's a nice interactive toy for younger ones.

Doesn't work!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to like his and I hate that it doesn't work! I've tried everything I can think of but I just can't get this to work corectly. Everything came nicely packaged and looked super cute. I was thinking this would be the perfect chirstmas gift for my 7 year old neice who loves Hello Kitty. When the package arrived I quickly opened it and thought it looked pretty nice. There were some spots around the speaker where it looks like glue seeped through to the speaker cover but no big deal I thought. I begin to unpack everything and hook it up and realize that the microphone does not work. It has an on off switch on it with a light and I could never get it to light up . I tried both microphone outlets and no luck! So I put in a cd-a mixed cd because I don't really have a lot of real cds handy. So I mess with all the knobs and nothing is really working. I can kinda hear the music but it's so muted that I really can't hear it. I didn't realize that you have to use cd-G with it go show the lyrics on the TV screen so I cannot confirm how the TV screen actually works. But I can say that even if the TV screen worked, I wouldn't be able to hear anything or use the microphone so it really didn't matter in the end. I'm a little disappointed that my husband and I combined could not figure this machine out. I Googled and read the directions several times in hopes of solving my problems. I was unsuccessful in getting this machine to work. I am not able to give this as a gift now because honestly if I can't get it to work then how can a 7 year old? My husband seems to think the speaker is blown. The machine itself is compact and portable with handles on each side. I think it would be great if it would actually work! It's really cute and would look nice sitting on a shelf but if you really want to sing karaoke you better try something else.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is perfect for any Hello Kitty lover! I have an 11 year old cousin and we had a blast singing! The screen isn't that big but the font size is big enough and very legible. I haven't used it with a smart phone yet so I don't know the quality of that. The mic volume is loud enough. Definitely a must for all girls!
