Cool mount, great ideas, dissapointing performance

Bought the desk dock and this vehicle mount for my captivate and they share a similar flaw. The speaker line out jack works only when the phone is muted from the "Car Home" app and the quality of sound is poor. The phones headset jack has great volume, but this mount's line out requires car volume to be turned way up. Also doesn't seem to charge as quickly as plugging straight into the phone.
The Design is awesome. Very sturdy, no bouncing like goose neck mounts and 360 degree adjustment. Power cord plugs into mount and clicks into phone when docked; convenient!
Can not be used with phone cases on, but nice and secure hold to phone without case.
Hope the speaker line out issue can be fixed. This would be the best vehicle mount if all it's functions worked well. Average and a bit pricey until the bugs are worked out. These products have potential to be great. Need fixes.

I purchased the Samsung vehicle navigation mount for my Captivate less than a month ago, and I have no regrets. It has a nice sleek design, and securely holds the phone in place while driving down even the bumpiest roads. However, it did take me awhile to figure out how to work the audio out feature; I thought it was faulty until I read another review stating that it only works when the "car home" app is muted--Samsung should probably mention this in the "user's guide". Sure enough, when muted the audio runs through my vehicle's stereo system, and I must say it sounds fantastic! But that might have to do with the fact that I have a great sounding system in my car to begin with.
If you are looking for a stylish way to mount your phone so you can use the GPS as well as the music player while on the go, I would suggest this mount.
The only reason I did not give it five stars is because when I use the GPS feature the phone gets hot, which I am guessing is not good for the phone over an extended period of time. Maybe this is not due to a performance issue with the mount, but rather the phone itself.
Pros: Durable, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

This dock is extremely well built. I was impressed that it held up on a long road trip without falling off my windshield. The phone is easy to get in and out of the dock. Charges the phone and very adjustable. Audio out jack works great when plugged into car stereo input.
Pros: Durable, Lightweight, ease of use
I would recommend this to a friend!
