Great display but annoying coil whine noise

The monitor has a noticeable "coil whine" electrical buzzing/humming noise when using at high brightness. at low brightness it is faint and not that noticeable. If you are using this for gaming with a headset then this obviously won't be an issue and is otherwise a really good monitor. but for casual use ,the coil whine can be a bit annoying.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Purchased for $200 CAD on Black Friday. Specs aren't the craziest, but unbelieveable value for 1440p 240hz.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Display, but overwhelming coil whine

Received 50% off during Black Friday Sale.
I used the monitor for a couple days. It has great visuals, and was easy to set-up.
It was great first night when I tried it out by watching 2k videos and gaming.

The next day switched over to day-use working and noticed overwhelming coil whine (I likely did not notice the first day because I was using a headset).
Tried lowering resolution and refresh rate, using a different DP cable, and HDMI 2.1 cables, but the whine was always present.

Since my use case is both for gaming and work use, I unfortunately had to request a return as the coil was too much for me. If you are only gaming with headphones its probably not noticeable. Perhaps I received a slightly defective unit.
