I really like this fan. Its helped circulate the air in a room that’s perpetually stuffy. Only downfall…is that I can’t get it to stay at the height I’d like it to be. It slips down within minutes of readjusting it. Hope there’s a solution in the works!

Perfect living area fan. It is amazing, works great and is a very pretty fan. I purchased the white one. It effectively circulates cool air in our open layout that includes living room, dining, kitchen and sitting area with high ceilings. This is our 4th Vornado fan. We have a small one in a guest bathroom, one in the garage and a medium size one in the home office. Living in south Florida in a wood frame home can be warm even with air conditioning. The engineering and design of all Vornado fans are great. The EOS 9S is bar none!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Just shy of perfection, but still the best fan I've ever used

This thing is incredible and the most high-tech fan I've ever used. Horizontal and VERTICAL oscillation? A mode that is like the ocean breeze? An ambient light? A little pad that you can put essential oils on to make the whole room smell like a hotel? The remote even hooks on the side with a little magnet. I have only three (3)!! qualms that keep this thing from a 5.
1. The int0erface is a little bit clunky and they knew it. There's a sticker on the base above the touch pad to remind you what number every setting corresponds to. It's not immediately apparent that the number you're changing is only affecting the mode that's blinking, unless no mode is blinking in which case it's the fan. I'm pretty adept at navigating devices, but if there was a location for a quick reference card it should have been on the back of the remote instead of stuck to the base where you have to get up to look at it.
2. At high speeds the remote kinda rattles/vibrates against the base and makes an annoying sound.
3. When you put the fan into "light mode" it's not immediately apparent that it's totally switching functions from fan to lamp--the controls to dim and brighten the lamp are on the side of the remote like volume buttons on a phone and it just doesn't really make a lot of sense to me from an interface perspective.
Aside from these things the fan is amazing. A few small fixes and this is an easy 5 and probably the best standing house fan of all time
