I first bought a tp link.router had it working and ut stop working after two days. I return it and went with the night Hawks router rs100 it wss a east fast setup and I have had no problems with it so far.

Just buy one

I was on the fence about buying a router for a while. I always thought the modem router combo was an issue. Turns out I was right all along. I also switched internet providers 2 days after I had this router. Which was the plan when I got it. Went from 25mb service to 1gig. This modem handles it just fine. I am seeing gig speed on it just fine wired, even over. I have seen 900 on my phone close by the router and 200 on the low side roaming around the house. No special setup. I needed the 4 ports on the back. That is why I didn't get a higher up model. This does not disappoint at all.

Spectrum replacement

I purchased this router to avoid router rental fees from Spectrum. Paying a fee for Armor defeats the purpose of buying the router. I am disappointed I cannot access the router by 192.168.1.1. I have to use router login.net. The UI is spread out too much. My ancient Linksys router has a much better looking UI. So far, I am happy with it. I have a lot more control and visibility than with the Spectrum router.

I’m satisfied with this router, but there is one feature that doesn’t work as well as I had hoped, that being Smart Connect. My previous Netgear router didn’t list it as a feature, but it did basically the same thing, automatically switch connection from WiFi band to another as you change zones. The only difference between them is that only one WiFi band is shown on settings (instead of the different bands being individually listed). This feature can be turned off, but that’s not really a good option
I would recommend this to a friend!

Works through log walls

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently purchased this WiFi router from Best Buy after it was recommended by the store employees. I was looking for a router that would work well in a log home, since log walls can sometimes make WiFi coverage difficult. I’ve been very pleased with how well this router transmits wireless internet throughout my log home. So far, it has provided strong and reliable coverage.
