The user interface of the XR1000 is far superior to the RS300. The network performance details are lacking, making it difficult to understand the throughput of each device on the network. While the RS300's throughput is stated as 9.3Gbps, this information is not accessible or be proven through via its user interface.

The device is easy to use and set up; you simply need to download the Netgear Nighthawk app, and you can handle the entire configuration through it. The Access Point option is very convenient for extending networks.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Setup wasn't great. Not sure why I needed to download an app to set up a router. The app kept freezing during setup so it took 5 attempts to get fully setup. After that, it's been great for a small home with 5 devices. No issues with connecting nor dropping.
