[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Easy setup, works with old access point and printer though the printer struggled a bit then hooked up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We was forced to buy a new router as the updates for the one we have, and still is working fine, are being discontinued, we don't use i phones so how do we set it up ? looked it up on line on my desktop and still no instructions to be found. When I called the help desk wait time was estimated at 1 hour, this is ridiculous. So here we are with a router we cannot connect.

RS700 owner for about 1 month - replaced an RAXE500 damaged by electrical surge. The RS700 is difficult to setup, requiring hours of administrative work. Could be avoided if NETGEAR only offered a model independent method to import/export configuration. Required multiple flash of the same firmware release to eliminate multiple software problems (multiple IP assignment errors, 503 access error, etc). Performance of the administrative interface is incredibly slow - it takes over a minute to "apply" configuration changes. Beware the RS700 in NOT equipped with an active cooling fan and can enter "thermal" slowdown.
I own multiple NETGEAR products including cable modems, WiFi access points, WiFi routers, and switches - all operate without problems. The RS700 is hands down the worst NETGEAR product I've ever owned, it is quite a disappointment.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was not happy that I had to get a Netgear account to setup my new router.

The device I used to have was an R7800. That was the one that was EOL Netgear notified me about. An RAX50 is currently in use that is not EOL. There is no reason for me to keep the RS200 as the RAX50 serves my purposes well. My mistake not correctly discerning the model number in the email from Netgear.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have only installed my Nighthawk WiFi Router 7 RS 100, 3.6 Gbps for one week, however I really like the router very much! I had my original Nighthawk WiFi router for eight years and I never had a problem with that router!
