Wi-Fi appears to not reach my entire house.

It appears to be fine. However, the Wi-Fi doesn’t reach other locations in my house. This RS700S replaces my NETGEAR R9000. I’m trying to use the R9000 in “Access Point” mode but I’m having difficulty getting it to work as an AP.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The range of my new netgear router is not as good as the older netgear router that it replaced. This makes it difficult for some devices to reliably connect to the internet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After installing and loading was done, my son was so happy that can play games on his computer. And the cellphone and all the electronics were working perfectly.

Excellent product. I may be a bit biased as I am a Netgear fan, but so happy with the purchase. While yes it is pricey, it is worth every cent. Streaming is amazing…. Buffering a thing of the past and the clarity in the pictures, INSANE! Thanks Netgear for the wonderful product! We have a 4K SF home with 2 adults and 4 college students. Everyone is streaming, on FaceTime with friends and ZERO lag! Just amazing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this router to replace an old Lynksys router. It has performed beautifully and was easy to set up with mobile app. It even lets you keep the name of your old network. It is much faster than my old router and have had no buffering issues at all on my streaming devices.

The router itself is working, however the VPN that came with it was a total flop. It made using the router almost useless.

Routers that require Valium or Xanax for installation

I was advised by NETGEAR that they would no longer support the NETGEAR router that I was currently using. They advised replacement with a newer model so I ordered a newer one from NETGEAR even though my current model was working well. Regrettably the new model would not connect to all my devices due to the fact that some of my devices, namely 13 year old wireless thermostats and a wireless printer, would only work on 2.4 ghz band width even though the new router was a dual band router. The new router was not necessarily faulty provided that installed devices could operate using 5.0ghz band width but not 2.4 The devices requiring 2.4 simply would not connect. It is likely that you can manipulate the router in such a way that you can force it to connect devices at 2.4 band width but that is beyond my skill set. The new router will probably work fine provided that you have time, patience, and skill sufficient enough to make it work with any, not most, devices. “Plug & Play” this router is not! For residential usage I suggest that homeowners use routers provided by their internet service provider.
