[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Difficult to review the battery when it came with less than 1/3 charge and no charger to bring it back to a full charge. It’s compact, lightweight, and fits well into the saw. Convenient-to-use battery charge indicator.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Dewalts 12v platform has to be one of my favorites. This 3AH battery sets the stage for everyone else. Quick charging, hard hitting amperage

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although it’s a smaller battery compared to the 18V or 20V it still has enough energy to get the projects I needed done.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a flooring job to work on that required my laser and decided to throw this battery in. It easily lasted the whole day of work. The upgrade in Amp hours and small change in footprint is exceptional. If you need more time operating your 12v tools this is the answer you've been waiting for, it's light weight and fits all the same tools.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think how you judge this battery needs context. Its a 12v battery platform. When I think of 12V I think around the house or around the shop lighter duty jobs that dont take very long. And so if you take that into account I think its perfect. It holds plenty of power for small projects. The battery itself is light so it doesnt add alot of weight to the tool causing more fatigue. I think its the perfect Ah for a 12v line.
The best thing about this battery in my opinion is that it charges on the same charger as the 18V platform does. Thats HUGE to me! It doesnt matter as much for people who are going to invest in one platform or the other but for those who have tools from both the 12V and 18V line thats huge. I have the Dewalt supercharger and these charge no problem on it meaning I can have less chargers taking space in my shop. Huge win in my opinion.

Impressive technology in a small package

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll be honest, I was skeptical when I took this out of the package and clicked it into the reciprocating saw I was using it with. For such a small battery, how could it ever have enough power to drive a few screws, let alone cut through wood or steel?
This battery proved me wrong. The one-handed saw I was using it with had a crazy amount of power. Granted the battery was brand new and freshly charged, but even after a day of cutting wood and steel, it still had charge and showed no signs of slowing down.
With the same 3ah rating of other batteries in its class, it lasts as long as you need to complete the job, and then some. And the 12v rating, again, blew me away with the amount of power it packed. I own other 20v batteries which are power houses themselves, but I never expected this kind of juice from 12v. I'm a believer.
The one small criticism I have for the battery has nothing to do with the power; it's the casing. I find the plastic housing to feel a bit cheap. If DeWalt wrapped their batteries in some of the same rubberized coating they do for some of their tools, it'd be absolutely perfect.

Good Power and Performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the 12V MAX battery with the accompanying one-handed reciprocating saw. The battery lasted through several hours of cuts. I experienced no loss of power or difficulty cutting through material as the charge depleted; it was strong and consistent all the way to the end of charge. Very impressed with the overall capacity of the battery.
