Great battery life and sound

Just took my Ranger out to the golf course on its maiden journey and it faired excellently! Five and half hour round and the beats were constant and still had 80% battery life. The magnet is strong and the speaker never shifted off of the golf cart. Already coming up with an excuse to buy another one.

Straight out of the box it was underwhelming. The sound quality at mid to high volume wasn’t near what I expected. Took it to work one day and It didn’t last 3 hours on full volume before any and all bass notes started buzzing like a cheap subwoofer in the back of a 2002 Toyota Camry. I love my gen 2 so you couldn’t imagine how disappointing it was that this not so inexpensive speaker was such a piece of junk. You could probably get the same performance out of a JBL for half the price. Spend the extra money on a gen 2 or 3 I promise you won’t regret it. In the process of returning right now.

Well, I bought a Gen 2 about a year ago and loved it and then, they come out with the dang gen 3’s. Sold my gen 2 and bought a gen 3. I play golf and puddle around the yard and that new gen 3 was just too big for some of my activities. I bought the ranger because it would pair with my gen 3 and to use it when I’m at the pool or playing golf. Holy crap this thing is great. I hate to say this but I now use it more than my gen 3. Best decision I made was making this purchase, you won’t be disappointed!!

The sound out of this speaker isn't very good at all. For the price there are much better comparable speakers for the money. Sorry, love my other turtles, but not this one.

It’s my fault for not reviewing more closely, but super disappointed that the Ranger will not pair with my Gen 2 Turtle box that is less than 1 year old. Really the only reason I purchased.
