I learned after purchasing this about the use of lead soldering in Stanley products. I am aware that the lead is in a layer that does not typically leach into water. However, as a clumsy human who not uncommonly drops my water bottle which can lead to damage of the layers, and also considering the workers who are exposed in the manufacturing process, I don't really get why a company that has made as much profit as Stanley has over the last few years would not go lead-free, as many other leading water bottle companies have. Product is fine, does the job and keeps water and ice cold enough, but not really any edge over my other water bottles. I initially bought it because I was grossed out by my Stanley tumbler straw being exposed and liked that this has a covered mouthpiece. It was good for that, but as a pregnant lady i will not be buying more until it's both useful and lead free
I’m very pleased, ice lasts all day. The pale pink is pretty. With ice the 24 oz is a little too small. I would have chosen 30 oz if available in this style. A straw can be unsanitary at work. It does not leak. I’m careful with the main section and hand wash, the top and cap go in the dishwasher.
I purchased this item for my husband. He did not like it because it was hard for him to tell when it needs ice and sometimes water. So I switched out with him. I had to agree but i kept the bottle anyway. I wished i had returned it. The bottle would not fit inside the car cup holder. I would not recommend this particular bottle.
