Gad these for about 5years. Loved them… but the outer laminate is starting to peel off all of them. Poor/chinese-made quality couldn’t stand up to repeated dishwasher cleaning I ‘spose. Guess I’m investing in some Yetis.
Pretty good product but there is not much to differentiate it from the competition. Needs to have an option for a lid, and a 12oz version would be nice too. Klean Kanteen version stacks a little better.
We have had a dozen of these for everyday use for the past 3-4 years. They are amazing when used in very hot or very cold drinks - except for one thing - a couple of years ago Stanley discontinued the unpainted (naked stainless) model. This model is by far the most resistant to day-to-day handling, dishwashing, rattling around in the bottom of the pack, etc. The painted versions seem to chip near the bottom in a few months of use. Please Stanley, re-issue the naked stainless model or find better paint!
My overall rating is positive, 5 stars, but i wished that sparkling mineral water stayed carbonated for a longer time as witnessed from glass tumblers. For quality and durability i won't give the highest scores because the powder coating can get chipped, scratched, dissolved, damaged, flaked off, etc, i had to sand some chamfers myself. The funky metallic smell/taste of water was distracting only in the beginning, now my nose and brain don't perceive it anymore. It's easily the best and most attractive tumbler in my house!
