I am having an issue with wired network reconnecting after computer waking up at a slower speed than what it had before sleeping. Currently I just disconnect and reconnect to the network.
I have used Asus products for quite some time, and I have always been more than satisfied with them. I do a fair share of online gaming, and a fair share of watching videos and movies as well. This motherboard is one I am impressed with, since I have purchased it with the intent of preparing not only for Win11, but to add some other equipment I had not ventured to use previously. I had used SSD drives, and after doing my research before buying this Z790, I had determined that I would buy these newer M.2 drives, since reviews had shown them to be so much faster. Asus has not only made my life so much easier with their setups, fantastic manuals that explain things so well, but the motherboard performance has really impressed me with how fast the data transfers are, and the seamless ease of integrating other older style drives. The embedded sound system is excellent, and I love not having to buy a separate sound board. The LAN works flawless, and is lickety split fast! I am a casual computer nerd, and I know only basic things, but I am smart enough to research to learn, and trust in Asus to provide just what I didn't know I needed! I am grateful to all the technicians, engineers, and assemblers who work hard to make superior products, and that quality keeps me returning any time I need something new. Awesome Asus, I say!
I have bought ASUS motherboards in the past, always considered them the best out there. It has been a while since I purchased one, for the past 10 years been purchasing Dell PC's. Finally decided to go back to building my own PC's, and purchased this board. 1 MAJOR problem, can only set up memory on the A1 and A2 memory slots, B1 and B2 do not work at all. Also, the RPG headers have pins that will not allow for connection with RBG devices, the pins are extremely small. 5050 connectors do not fit, they fall off immediately, had to gerry rig to get my RBG light bar to work. I went with the Prime model as I am not a gamer, but I do a lot of graphics. Very disappointed with this motherboard, next time I will buy ASRock or NZXT.
Overall solid board. Needs some EUFI refinement, memory compatibility with 4 dimms needs improved. Drivers suck, installed on Win 11 pro and almost none of the drivers would install. Reinstalled windows 11 home and the drivers seemed to work. Idk what thats all about.
