Don't bother

This is likely the worst double-sided tape I have ever encountered.
- the backing is difficult to remove, although not impossible
- it has failed in almost every situation I've used it - being plastic-plastic and plastic-metal. It has only worked for plastic-glass. In all cases I was only holding up less than 100 grams and used 3cm to 10cm of tape, so well above the required tape length.

Impossible to use

I watched all the videos and tried various methods to apply to my job. Nothing worked. It applies easily to the object but it is impossible to take off the second side. You'll be wasting your money buying this product buy something that has a distinctly different material for a backing so it will be possible to remove the backing.

Removing liner

Not a single method described above really works. If you get lucky after a half hour, you have already half of the (expensive) tape wasted. It is unbelievable that a company like 3M found a solution for this nuisance..

Good, strong tape

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tape was easy to use and seems to be holding strong. Time will tell about the waterproof qualities. The package gives instructions on how to remove the backing easier, but I didn't have any issues getting it off.

Not “Extreme” But Does The Job

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not quite as sticky as I thought it would be for “maximum strength” but it did the job and kept my vent cover from falling loose again. Be aware that the packaging states that it will hold 30lbs but the instructions indicate the entire 60” roll should be used to hold 30lbs.

My Scotch Mount Extreme Experience

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] One of the I liked the qualities I like the most of 3M Scotch Mount indoor/ outdoor extreme tape is it's flexibility, and clean removal from plastic surfaces. The strength of Scotch Extreme Mounting tape does not disappoint. I look forward to seeing how well the hanging aspect stands up extended use.

No need for nails or screws.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed some under cabinet lights for my kitchen and didn't want to damaged them with nails or screws to install them. This product helped achieve that. It was easy to install and is very sturdy for the lights I selected.

Holds up to its name

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I originally first received this product as a sample. I was skeptical that it would work. Boy was I wrong. I use a 3in strip of this to hold up a drill free wall hook in which I use to hang my work bag on. It really works! I would say my bag is anywhere from 5-10lbs on a busy day and it withstands it. I’m unsure on the longevity of the tape or if it’ll leave residue when removing but for the meantime, I am beyond thrilled and happy with its quality.
I would recommend this to a friend!
