First week was amazing! Literal day 1 of week 2 in was in the middle of a zoom class when it went blank, then a message saying an error and then blue screen of death. I tried fixing it, HP tried fixing it, and nada! They offered to replace it but it took two weeks to get that one one and I couldn’t afford that wait being actively enrolled in online classes right now. Super sad, my dinosaur HP still works but just isn’t supported anymore so I was hopeful….yet disappointed in the end.
Overall, it is a good size and weight for portability. There are two USB-C ports identically labeled but only one will pass through the signal from a hub for monitors ,network, power, and peripherals. I never did get the HP dock (brand new) to pass the ethernet signals through, but a cheapo powered dock from Lenovo does. I tried all the drivers, etc and nothing worked. Setup was standard. After dealing with a lot of bloatware, I re-installed windows from scratch and only added the drivers I needed. Some of that is Microsoft not HP, but still a bother.
