The touch of quality and reliability

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned and used many laptops, including Macbook. But it comes to Windows, the Thinkpad always stands out compared with others.
The ThinkPad P14s is no exception. Actually this is the third Thinkpad my wife uses and it is the only brand I would recommend.
For beginning, the keyboard is always the biggest reason why I prefer to type on one laptop over another. Thinkpad might have the best laptop keyboards in the T and P series, even more comfortable to type than my Macbook.
The ThinkPad P14s comes with 64GB memory, which matched with some of my other computers, which means I won't have to worry about multi-task, heave duty uses.
The 1TB SSD is sufficient for daily use already.
Since we use our Thinkpad for daily use, not business use, it is definitely more than capable of what we need. I expect it will last quite a few years before we get newer ones.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm enjoying my Copilot laptop. It's fast and feels like it's going to last a long time. The only thing that I would change is to stop the flashing light on the back of the screen. It flashes red when the laptop is closed in sleep mode. I recommend getting an AI-enable laptop. Getting AI feedback is as quick as touching a button.

Screen uncomfortably dim

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can't recommend this ThinkPad to anyone who works in a well-lit office.
The screen is much dimmer than I expected. In well-lit indoor environments, I have to squint and take frequent breaks to relieve eye strain (reading, writing code, or editing docs).
This is much worse in dark mode. Unfortunately, the battery drains rapidly in light mode because the screen is OLED.
At max screen brightness in light mode, using IntelliJ, Chrome, and WSL drains the battery 90% to 10% in ~2 hours.
Side note:
I bought this for Lunux but figured I'd give Windows a chance. Microsoft's half-baked AI features have gotten out of hand. The NPU is used, but sometimes pointlessly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good Laptop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although I really like this laptop overall, I’ve experienced a few issues. It has crashed several times and frozen to the point where I’ve had to perform a hard shutdown, and a few apps have crashed as well (I’m not sure if that’s the apps or the laptop). I’ve also noticed that some brightness and volume bars appear grayed out and don’t fill properly. Despite these problems, I would still recommend the laptop.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I planned to dual-boot my thinkpad with Arch linux and Windows and let me tell you, the experience could not have been better. Being in the IT space and having dealt with a number of computers that have required special drivers or some features wouldnt work at all, having everything just work has been a breath of fresh air. The VRR OLED screen is gorgeous and coupled with the surprisingly powerful Ryzen APU has meant i can even play 3d games that look stunning and feel smooth, something i was not expecting with this machine. And while i would love a bigger battery, i still manage to get 4-6 hours of moderate work loads and i enjoy the 'light' feeling of it (compared to past laptops). My only real critique would revolve around usb-c charging, since it advertises 65w but i can only achieve that with a lenovo power supply. Out of the many third-party 65w+ charger/docks/cables i tried, i can only get 45-50w because Lenovo seems to have implemented some wacky power profile. Not a deal breaker for me but if you're doing heavy loads like gaming then the battery will still discharge over time without the first-party charger.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this laptop to run demo environments to support my IT training and do some personal development projects. It is light weight and well built. It runs really well under large workloads. Overall I am very pleased with this laptop.

Works well with Linux, acceptable battery life

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a a great little laptop with a wonderful screen. The battery life appears to be a bit worse than my Intel-based t14s from a couple generations ago, but the tradeoffs I believe are worthwhile. I've installed Xubuntu 25.10 on it, and I needed a kernel flag to amdgpu to prevent screen refresh issues, but otherwise I haven't had problems.
