[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a Lenovo laptop for 8 years prior to this. When zi needed to replace (due to MS support expriring), there was no question - I was going to get another Lenovo!
This new one has been great so far! Fast, clean, light weight, great screen! Extremely easy to setup! What can I say, I love it!
The next one in 8 years, will be another Lenovo.
I would recommend this to a friend!

The P14s Gen6 with AMD Ryzen processor came with 64GB of RAM and I installed a 4TB nvme SSD.
I removed Windows and installed Linux, discovering along the way that Cinnamon (with Linux Mint, or LMDE 7, or Ubuntu Cinnamon) has some race condition causing a complete suspension of screen refresh. Plain Ubuntu works fine, however, installed in a few minutes, and has proved very stable.
This machine is a beast -- very fast wifi, super fast file transfers, runs all applications at amazing speed, all with great battery life and close to no weight. I love the physical "mouse click" buttons at the top of the touchpad and the fact that the touchpad is of a modest size that does not need the often chancy palm rejection of the enormous touchpad on my previous laptop (Dell XPS17).
More ports than I'm likely to need, which is good. Weighs less than a quarter of said XPS 17, making it far more practical -- I can take it anywhere, never noticing the weight or size.
Going from 17" down to 14" had worried me a bit, but the loss of weight and of any issue moving it from my lap to a stool or shelf whenever I need something out of reach more than makes up for it, along with the exceptional clarity of the screen.
I have a couple of minor disagreements with a couple of BIOS choices (e.g. shutting down the machine should require only one long press on the power button, but in fact requires an additional confirmation), but no BIOS design can satisfy everyone.
While it's amazing that so much power can be crammed inside such a small case, the machine never became warm, even in long sessions.
Finally, the case feels sturdy, even though opening it is rather simple, and the machine never generated heat, whether in computation or in file transfer or in video playing.

Technologically great, feels cheap, weak battery

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a great deal for the price. From a technological standpoint it's top notch. Huge RAM, GPU powerful enough to play games without needing a giant brick, etc. ("AI" is a gimmick and doesn't really add anything other than some minor webcam effects.)
My previous laptop was a ThinkPad T14s AMF Gen2. At a glance they are nearly identical looking. Comparing the two, there are some ways this P14s is different or worse than my old T14s.
This P14s is slightly narrower and feels heavier.
The build quality is worse on the P14s - it feels cheaper and the plastic squeaks when you set your wrist on the corners.
The keyboard on the P14s feels WAY cheaper, it's an extremely squishy bouncy rubber membrane giving 1990s $5 keyboard vibes. I kind of hate it to be honest. The KB in my T14s felt much better. On the plus side, they finally moved the control and function keys where they belong!
In the T14s the mediocre speakers were between the keyboard and the screen along the top row of keys. On the P14s the speakers are on the left and right side of the keyboard. The speakers are worse than before, honestly pretty terrible, tinny sound and not very loud. This is definitely not meant to be a gaming or multimedia computer. These speakers are good for conference calls and that's about it.
The OLED screen looks amazing in a dark or dimly lit room, and the 120Hz refresh rate is great. It is, however, almost impossible to see in any kind of direct sunlight. I have to get to the conference room early to ensure I get a seat facing the window to avoid morning sunshine on my screen.
Battery life is much worse on this P14s vs the old T14s. This is probably in part due to the OLED compared to the 4K LCD on my old one, but it is significantly worse - I'm talking roughly 4 hours compared to 8 hours.
Those reasons are why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. That being said, it's a great computer and was extremely cheap on Black Friday and I'm overall happy with it. It's powerful and has a ton of RAM, and is fully Linux compatible with Fedora or Ubuntu.

Good Balance between Power and Portability

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned quite a few Thinkpads over the last 25-30 years, and in the last 10 years have alternated between the X1 Carbons, T, X, and P14s series. The P14s has a good balance with considerable power, lots of RAM, and small thin footprint, weighing roughly 3 lbs. The Oled screen is nice. Battery life could be better but I use the machine plugged in the majority of the time. These are solid machines and will handle most anyting other than hardcore gaming or extreme computing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Current uses ChemCAD, AutoCAD, C++, Excel, Other Office360 products, Classwork, light video editing and Streaming. Great for multiple tasking and using multiple applications at the same time. Most do not like the AMD integrated graphics card but the increase in multiple core is a plus. Well built and will last should have gotten the SCR and more Ram, also the plastic cover for the extra features should have metal covers instead. Battery lasts fairly long compared to my previous laptop and fast charging is amazing. Finally, lightweight and easy to travel with from Home, Work, School, and Abroad.
