[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good quality machine with repairable components! Performs great right out of the box. I have a few non deal breaker issues. First, it’s a fingerprint magnet with its black coating. Its fans are somewhat loud but have a decent tone so it’s bearable. Lastly, and this is my biggest issue, the screen flickered uncontrollably when in 5g during initial set up. I had to lower the antenna power to medium which seems to have fixed the flicker. If anyone’s looking for a dependable and repairable machine with good performance for running simulations this is the machine for you!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

When it was time to get a laptop for personal use in retirement, I stayed with Lenovo. I selected the P1 Gen 7 with Ultra 9, 64GB, 4TB SSD, and the 3840x2400 OLED display. I also picked up the Thunderbolt 4 Workstation Dock. After a month of use, I've been very impressed with the performance and the display is awesome.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this machine! I use it primarily for studying topics in my college major (Computer Networking and Cybersecurity). I'm currently simulating large networks to prepare for the Cisco CCNP ENCOR exam and this machine can handle very large networks with no problems thanks to the newer hardware! This machine is equally capable if you are to install a Linux Distribution (eg. Fedora Linux) as well!
The graphics capabilities and display also incredibly good for my use case - I use an open source local upscaling application (Upscayl) to assist me in the archival of my large library of family photos. The 3840 x 2400 OLED Display is beautiful and makes viewing family photos / videos from my parents and grandparents such a joy.

I am always pleased by the quality of the product and the service Lenova does before, during and after the sale. I can think of no finer product for PCs, especially PCs (Laptops that spend their life as "Road Warriors have seen Lenova outperform (Dell, Fuji-Siemens, Apple,Compac, and HP and other ""losers" that were not travers but should have been bolted down to "desk rider" use!! Keep up the good work Lenova, and I will always come back for more future PC purchases!!!
